So l currently have a OEM back up cam but looking for a better view of what’s behind me while on the highway.Does this camera do more than what OEM will do? I don’t want a better view of the top of my bumper!?

Also thinking about a side view cam that attaches to the bottom of the passenger side rear view mirror.Like what Honda has for its vehicles

You could do a full DVR system. KMoon are pretty cheap, 4 channel. I assume you already ditched the OEM head unit, so what HU are you running?

That tailgate camera will likely give you the same viewing angle as the factory cam. A backup cam would be worthless for reverse parking if you can't see the edge of your bumper. If you have an aftermarket HU with multiple video outputs, you can simply just buy a cheap license plate camera for viewing what's behind you. I have one for viewing the front. I have a cheap $17 Amazon one like this:

I’ll be running a Sony touch screen, double din HU.Only has one plug in for a camera. So looks like I’ll have to stick with just one camera for now.
