Finally installed the roof rack

 

Added hondos vent mount i pulled off my 2017. this is just temporary for a recent trip we have coming up. Thinking i will be replacing this setup with expedition essentials with integrated usb for a cleaner look.

 

My Lomax Hard Tri Fold Tonneau arrived yesterday - ready to install....as soon as my new truck arrives. Hopefully, my AG Pro will be at the dealership on Monday or Tuesday and, after prep and accessories, I'll have it by Thursday. Planning on putting on the tonneau next weekend if the timing works out.

How easy was the install? Recently started taking notice of this mod.

 

It took me about half an hour. I removed the cubby and power outlet and had to cut around that. And the front tie down hooks. If I were to do it again, I’d cut around those and secure it with Velcro so it can be removed easier. I may do that at a later time. If you get one , watch the vids. You don’t need to run a continuous strip of Velcro across the front of the bed.

 

10 min per door - follow Meso’s puddle light install. No need to disconnect any electrical connections.

Blacked out my hood, for when the sun hits those angles.

 

I had it made at a local Metal fab shop. 10ga steel, no wobble or wiggle at all when used with the 2 crossbars above cab. Bends and mounts directly to factory bed side rail mounts.

 

Sure, rhino rack makes the feet and crossbars. Quick disconnect feet let me take the bed crossbars off in 30 seconds when needed with key. Above the cab I installed their ditch mount track system.

As for above the gatortrax tonneau and cossbars, there are two clips on the top of the inside middle wheel well that need to be removed... then you can access the underside of the bed rail as you pull the fender liner down. I also removed the 6 bolts that hold in the storage bin on left side and the power outlet panel on the right side, with those removed you can access the rear most inside mounting bolts. Only think you want to try and do is make sure you hit metal on all 8 bolts- as there are some gaps and cutouts on the top of bed rails- I looked at pictures online of the bed removed to best aim my mounting points.

 

For those with the Toyota Safety sence ect
If you put a strip of tint along the top of your windshield does it negatively effect anything thats part if that system?

I've had mine tinted with 5% at the top 5" for a year and no problems

 

What lift and tires size have you got on it? Looks incredible.
