Line-x on body, bed and headache rack.

Line-x everywhere, no more worries. My Tacoma is a farm truck that I plan to have until I die, so I went for the full Line-x. The color came out pretty close to what I wanted although there seem to be some minor inconsistencies. The line-x "extra" coating gives a little bit of a shine that I'm not crazy about but I wash my truck about once a year so it should drab out pretty quickly.

That looks great!! How thick is the line-x? I did my whole truck including the flatbed with raptor liner. I wish the coating on the flatbed was thicker because I do carry heavy items that tend to scratch off the coating. Good job.

looks great! i have the rockers done on mine and thinking of doin the whole truck also. how much did that run?

 

The body, rack and transfer tank cost 2100. The bed and rockers had been done previously and I think it was around 700. Not cheap, but worth it to me. For a daily driver that will be sold eventually, probably not worth it.

 

glad to hear someone is putting that truck to good use!! truck looks sick.

 

I know my Line X'd bed dulled considerably since I've had it done. (and that's with a topper on most of the time)

Thanks for the compliments. Good question on the weight. My neighbor has scales for his quarry so I'll be able to get a precise measurement soon. It must be a few hundred pounds at least. I'm looking into getting new springs or Timbrens or both.

 

I don't know to be honest but I read somewhere in the literature that they shoot for 1/8 inch but I think it depends a lot on the guy doing the application. Here's an interesting thread about thickness.

PS - I love the headache rack , very nice design with lots of good tie down points and cab glass protection .

 

Yeah the headache rack is a must for a hauler. I think the crossbar on the rails will be very useful as well. I'll have to modify the clamps that hold it in place because the line-x ing has changed the diameters slightly. You can see the issue if you look closely at picture two. The c shaped clamps should be held flush together with a bolt but its just resting on the rail until I get it adjusted.
