I’ve had the stage 2 icons with their control arms on a previous Tacoma and liked it but I’ve heard a lot of good things about King. Opinions or advice on which to go with this time?

Try posting this, or better yet searching this in the suspension forum. This is talked about often and since forever ago

    P-cola.

I miss me some Bagelheads for breakfast, and the occasional Blue Angels fly-by while sipping a drink on the beach. :)

I swapped out my 2.5 ext travel icons with adjusters for 2.5 ext travel w adjuster Kings and couldn’t be happier, it rides great.

As far as I know it depends on your use for the truck. Kings are linearly valved, whereas Icons are digressive. So the Kings are supposed to be a bit better at a little slower, bigger hits and the Icons are supposed to be a bit better at higher speed and smaller hits, like desert racing. I haven't used either but if I was getting a set it would be Kings because I don't do much high speed stuff.

I've never had Icons so I can't speak to them, but the Kings I put on my truck are the hands down best riding shocks I've had on a truck. I personally won't go with another digressive valved shock, they might be amazing in the desert at high speed, but unless you are building a desert specific vehicle, most of you time will likely be not high speed desert driving.
