Martins is a world renown strongman who is sponsored by numerous huge companies and competes on the biggest stages in the world. You can’t compare him to some random IG “coach”

I compared to the lady at the gym who came recommended. Her communication wasn’t great at the beginning as well as being too busy. This guy is super responsive , seems Better at what he does and is just a little more. Plus our own man (trav) is using his programs and just won his comp. so it’s like the stuff works.

$150 to me, should come with hands on in person. “Online” ain’t worth it. Both my coaches, who have multiple state records and Ws under their belt, were only $50 and $60 per month and they were both local to me for hands on coaching at the gym. I would never think to charge that much but if people are willing to pay it I guess they can do whatever they want

Smalls will fit you. They aren’t hard to put on unless you’re already sweaty but their are ways to do it if you’re struggling. An easy trick is to use a plastic bag and you wrap your calf with it and they slide right up then you just pull the bag out. But just put them on before you get sweaty and you won’t have any issue. I wish I had gotten XS. The smalls still bunch up on me

Martins is a douche who contracts out his programming and video reviews and doesn't communicate worth shit yet charges out the ass for basic programming....

Kalle Beck has been competing in strongman longer than Martins, and was even the coach for numerous big names including Oberst... He also is the go to source for instructions on every strongman event/movement and runs the largest strongman specific website in existence... He's not some random IG coach, trust me.

Lol ok I trust you. I don’t know anything about strongman so my experience is only in PL so maybe it’s just different across sports

I asked others at the gym last night and nobody knew of any other coaches that really compete or are serious. The price is paid. The wife can spend $150 shopping or during a day out easily. I guess what’s $150 to something that’s atleast good for our bodies(in a way) lol

There is a lot more to strongman movements than just the 3 standard lifts like powerlifting.

I get what you're saying but strongman is such a small and overlooked sport that there aren't many hands-on coaches everywhere you look. Hands-on is nice but the next best thing is an expert who can review videos and give you advice 24/7. It's worked great for me

I’ve always wondered about martins. His charisma/personality on YouTube is different. Like he’s almost the type i don’t know if I’d trust around my children or daughters (if I had some lol). He seems strange.

Also. What’s better? A known and proven coach who has helped tons through videos or a random dude you meet in the gym?

I worked with him for a few months and it was wasted time and money. Took me complaining on Reddit and contacting his camera man before he finally refunded me my payment for the last month of programming that he never sent.

    Lesson learned.

I'm 312lb and wear 3xl and that's competition fit.... I have to fold mine then roll them up to get them on. These start to cut off circulation after a few minutes lol

The problem is trying to coach while you’re competing or in your prime. No way you can actually focus on others while you’re just trying to focus on yourself. Coaching should come after his competing career is over.

Kalle is gonna set me up a program over the weekend. I get my first actually built training schedule on Monday. Holy shit lol. This weight loss and diet stuff has always been a wing it thing. Never taken it seriously like this before
