I wish I would have gotten a masters when i was in school mode. Its much harder to after you havent been in school for years.... something to think on

Ah good advice. The decision right now is whether or not I need it. Actuaries start at about $80k a year with 7 tests. Each test is about a $5k a year instant bonus so if I can knock out the first 5 tests and start at $105k a year potentially

Word! sounds like a good plan! in the end, learning should be a lifelong thing regardless of degree or not. You should weigh the costs vs the short and long term benefits as it applies to your industry and see if it makes sense. Im in IT but at the point now that without my degree, i would not have been able to get to where i am. Im not sure a masters would help me since I have 25 years experience, but each industry is diff.

 

And living at home, that buys a lot of truck parts.

My wife got her masters in education a few years after we got married. She’s talking about getting her doctorate soon. She wants to see if mail comes to Dr and Mr or Mr and Dr. Does an education trump gender?

 

I need my own place man I finally had one lined up but they keep trying to raise rent prices. I’m a teacher I can’t afford $1200 a month just to still drive an hour I campus every morning
