Has anybody used a linex style bed coating? I realize I don’t need to worry about rust because the bed is composite, it’s more for not letting stuff slide around in the bed. I’m not sold on a rubber bed mat.

Yeah but the point is not having to take anything out. I’ll probably end up going with the bed mat. I was just wondering

You don't HAVE to take it out. It's heavy enough and stays put. BUT if you have something heavy and want to slide it to the front of the bed it's easy to remove.

I've seen several folks on TW have done it. If I remember right, the Linex shop needs to do a special clean and prep process to get the coating to adhere to the composite. Sounds pricey, but I've never looked into it.

Had the bed mat in both my Tacomas and have driven long distances at 80mph up and down hills and in wind. The mat doesn't move at all.

That’s another reason why I wanted a coating. It weighs enough with all the mods already on it. I figured it would be lighter than the mat

Bed lining weighs 40-70lbs. The bed mat weighs 30 and is removable.

You can’t go wrong with the bed mat, it’s a necessity.

Out of curiosity, have you seen the bed mat in person yet?
