Garmin Mini Dash Cam + Amazon Mirror to USB Dashcam adapter. It took longer to open the box than it is to install it. 1080p, 30 FPS. Test drive report coming soon. The Garmin dash cam is so small that there is no need to remove it when parked.

That is a beautiful solution to have a full plug and play setup.

I currently have a ODBII hardwire kit, but that's a much simpler and more elegant solution that doesn't involve nearly as much wiring. I like it!

What is it plugged into in the back of the mirror? I did not realize that was there. I need to tuck my setup up.

It’s a 12 pin plug, I believe it’s for the auto dimming. I didn’t know it was there either

Yes, it's that simple. I took it for a test ride today and downloaded the videos. It was clear and you can read a car's license plate pretty easily. I tried to upload via Youtube but the compression took all the clarity out of the video. The only downside is downloading any video from the dash cam to your phone can take a while. It's way faster to just take out the micro SD card and download it using an SD card reader to you laptop.

Super low profile so it doesn't block any part of the windshield. It tucks in nicely behind the rear view mirror.

I have a different garmin dash cam and was debating hard wiring it to run the mode of movement or impact and it turns on and records. However this is a plug and play, if it works for my model this is a great buy !

Getting a Dash Cam that screws into the GoPro mount is also the best option. Those suction cups come loose every once in awhile.

Yeah mine too but only while the vehicle is running. To get it to work without the vehicle on I need to hardwire it just debating between the two
