What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

May be. But it’s the only synthetic gl4 I could find stateside. The Lucas I drained was gl5 and had maybe 43k miles on it. It was dark and stanky. Shifts are immediately better and I cannot dent that.

 

What I mean more so, is you put the best possibe oil you could in there. I was amazed when I used it for the first time and the difference it made.

 

I got this one in Grass valley. What did you pay for the bed?

Found a set of T4R wheels for $100. Picking these up on Monday...


Gonna refinish them in a different flavor. Inspired by @turbodb, not same color, but similar...

 

I picked up two set's of those rim's today. And I was inspired by @turbodb as well.

I wish more parts on these Tacoma trucks
were as easy and quick to replace as these shocks.
10 minutes and done.

 

I got tired of my Husky liner floor mat from sliding around so I went to Ace Hardware and found a U clip and a 3/8" Grade 8 bolt to hold it down. The thing on the end is a chain link.

 

Got some parts today to fix my truck.
What the parts truck looked like at 9AM:

Installed some "new to me" 5100 Bilsteins....replaced the original factory shocks after 216k

the drive in Colorado was sorta therapeutic until I took a wrong turn somewhere near Nederland and ended up in Boulder by error in the rush hour, trying to recall from memory which turn to take from looking at a paper map the day before

 

any noticeable difference between the two?
