If you look under your truck, I think it's just 4wd, Toyota in their... Idiotic design makes the exhaust crossover go under the transfer case instead of going back a few inches and staying high. It's easy to crush it while off roading which can lead to other exhaust/header damage or crush it to the point where the back pressure won't let the engine run.

    This is stock

This is the end result.. aka what Toyota should've done.

There's an exhaust shop near Denver that has the pre bent sections on hand and can do them in no time at all.

A bunch of transfer case skids require you to fix that issue since throwing a skid below that just takes away a ton from your break over angle.

Got it. Never heard of that change, but seems like it would be a good thing to do it off roading a lot

Oh yeah I do remember noticing that the other day and wondering why it’s the lowest point under the front! I also noticed it’s already a little “pre-flattened” to make it a little less obvious it’s low... :notsure:

Would the new exhaust get in the way of removing the transmission? Just trying to understand why the engineers would do it that way opposed to the way you have it done. There has to be a reason since that's a pretty dumb way to do the exhaust plus loses ground clearance

I wonder if they would have had to add more heat shielding from the factory that way. Save money or something.

There's a ton of room, I think like 12" clear so only reason is "value engineering"

Years ago I had a key for a Tahoe I had with 200k on it. Key was worn and the peaks weren't tall enough to push the tumblers up without wiggling. Sent a picture to a place online and they sent a new one and worked like new. I can't seem to find anyone who does that. Anyone know of a company? It's for another older Tahoe pre chip.

Great to know! If you don’t mind, @grant318is and I would like to borrow them in the next couple months... I currently have an email out to Marie at HS for some new stuff. (Would like to do it all at once.)
If that doesn’t eliminate all vibes, then hopefully at least some vibes.

Shouldn't need it in GA, but it’s a good security blanket. Most of the fun stuff in GA has been closed.
