Lift is going on tomorrow! Stoked.

Bilstein 5100s on all corners with OME 887 coils. I am 2wd so hopefully going to get 2.5 inches (at least) out of the coils. SPC UCAs as well with a HS AAL for the rear.

Any advice before tackling the install? I'm doing it myself. I've done suspension work before, but nothing recent and not on a Toyota.

My wife hates tacomaworld but I love it  Since joining, I have bought lift, tires, wheels, Amazon items from "Amazon Gems" thread (@boogie3478 does a great job on there helping everyone with discounts), and more is to come FOR SURE. Whats next??

As far as 4x4 goes, I wish I could go back and get 4x4. Unsure as to what I was thinking when getting 2WD :annoyed:

Meh... not as big of a need for it in the south unless you’re an avid off-roader that looks for trails. We almost have to have it here.

I do plan to get one of them here shortly. I had wanted all the neat cameras on my new 2020 one but that would have involved a $5K package. This is a way to get sort of what I wanted.

The camera itself, from what I've experienced so far, is surprisingly good quality, better than what I was expecting. The button however, you can tell its after market. It doesn't have the same plastic quality as the OEM buttons. The OEM actually have a texture to them where this button does not. But, once installed its hardly noticeable and still looks nice. The anytime camera I got was from Runnin for Tacos and runs about $165.

A couple of weeks ago I completed the ARB snorkel install.
    740011E5-199F-4F0F-B286-EE669678FCD3.jpg

It took about 5 hours or so and wasn’t to bad. If interested @Hodakaguy has a great install post. The hardest part for me was removing the inner plastic fender liner.

Its committing cutting a hole into a new truck!

    EA7E0B55-1BD6-47F5-96F1-EBF5E66FCDF3.jpg

With sharp eyes you can see my blue dual tank ARB air compressor above the fender

    0425C7F0-A707-46AD-9A3F-CF71AFA5D174.jpg

Finished with that! And saved $500 of installation labor.

Now working on installing a dual filter water purification system going to be mounted on the rear wall behind the drivers seat. Need it so we don’t get sick drinking on our upcoming big drive starting this May

Hauled tile for our various home improvement jobs. Heavy! Truck did fine.

I'm nearly deceased. I kid I kid, it's heavy for sure but since I didn't have help unloading I opened the boxes and carried smaller quantities..........many trips, but my back is good.

Don’t forget to grease the ball joints on the UCAs, they come from SPC completely dry. Also, pull the wire bundle near the bottom of your battery, and move the AC lines on the passenger side to give yourself room to pull the UCA bolts.

I stripped my factory "TRD sport" decals off of my rear fenders, and my V6 badge off the back.,
Now all I have is matte black Tacoma badges on the doors, and a TRD on the back tailgate. super clean. I saw it done this way on a cement tacoma zipping by on the freeway recently and loved it so i did it.
Soon I will also install Morimoto fogs I got off Vilmont market.

I did that exact same lift minus the UCA’s on mine this past summer. Everything is pretty straightforward, especially since you have some suspension experience (I had none). The only tricky part was removing the leaf pack retainers where it interfered with the AAL but my cousin was easily able to grind off the rivet head so I’m glad he was helping me out.
Also if you’re a visual kinda person here’s two YouTube videos that help show a lot of what’s going on. The second one is for replacing the leaf pack whereas you’re just adding the leaf pack but it was still helpful. Good luck with it! And make sure you measure before and after and post before/after pics!
