I like them in public restrooms, but not any kind of home environment...They are great at stadiums and airports...but there should always bee a manual sink just in case you have a particular need...or fetish...or are a vampire

There was comedian that said it very well, ‘Why the hell do I need to be a Kung fu master for every public restroom. I have to wax on, wax off to get a damn paper towel.’ Don’t recall which comedian said it, he did a whole bit about it but that was the shortened version.

    Ok,
Temp and PSI are not adjustable, but you have water and hopefully some soap, for Free, to help ward off many things!

Not really just a shit load of constant waving in front of soap and water dispensers and nothing working. Without fail, I either got soap or water to work. Never both. Actually, I did get them both to work once but then couldn't dry my hands off....

1200 Sq ft 1 car garage 3 bed 1 bath. Great for us, weird in the market. But this is what my whole neighborhood is spare a few that have full basements or that build a second story (and one guy that leveled and built a new two story, house sticks out like a sore thumb among all post war homes).

Yeah, so many parking garages in Boston suck. My Jeep with a 3.75" lift and 33" tires BARELY fit in any garage that was around 6'4". Anything smaller I will hit. My stock Tacoma is not far from hitting those too. Currently it is a few inches lower than the Jeep.

Who has parties tonight? I don't watch football or gaf about it but there is a nostalgic thing about it for me I suppose, so the channel will at least be on the game.

We have 15/1600 sqft depending on who you ask. We are only two bedroom too, the majority of our home is the kitchen and tv room open area, with a good sized hallway/entry to store coats and washing/drying stuff. Idea is we basically only sleep in the bedrooms so as long as they fit a bed and dresser we are okay. I think we are having a kid this fall and that will trigger finishing the basement and adding a 3rd bedroom for potential guests/me to escape.

Without kids its the perfect set up, a friend can stay over if they want, and we have a nice open area to spend our days. Once the kid gets old enough to run around, I'm hoping bonus room in basement can be the play area and we can keep some semblance of togetherness up top where people might see.

Today is looking like a "no shadow" day. Now that you bring up the idea, I think groundhog day parties could actually be a fun time. Could bet on the shadow, do little games etc... Maybe even a "shadow" or "no shadow" dance sorta like a rain dance if you will.

If I were in college I'd probably run with this idea and make it an all day groundhog/superbowl party and just rage. But I'm older and very much lamer, so I'll just daydream about the possibilities!

We used to find any excuse for a whole day rager back in college. Snow day? Load up the jeep from the discount beer store, build a beer pong table out of the snow, it's time to party.

Groundhogs day? At least the evening.

It's Thursday? Time to throw down!

At Patrick's day was somehow the most timid day for us senior year. Still interesting.

No parties tonight. I'll have to find a way to even catch the game, we don't have cable or antenna, and we've both used our free trial of YouTube TV. At least it's east coast so it's at a nice early ish time. Ton of people already took tomorrow off at work, like they're going to riot after? Hell it's Rhode Island, nobody goes more than 15 minutes away to go anywhere, ever.

The big joke at the kid’s school (URI) about the locals is that anything more than 15 minutes requires a packed lunch. There were parents from the outskirts of Providence that stayed overnight for parents weekend... of course, being from CT, we’re not much better.

Yeah, we use the family room as a mud room and my office since it is the first room you walk into off the garage. The spare bedroom is her office and also has a full bed incase anyone stayed. It's a pretty small room. The master is decent size, probably a little over 200 sq ft.

I have thought about finishing half the basement and leaving half for the laundry, boiler, etc. Tough to justify though since I don't really need any more living space.

That garage talk is making me jealous.

When we end up doing the basement at some point I won't do the whole thing either, I was thinking of walling off all the stuff you listed and some storage racks we have set up. Then the other half could be a hangout/bedroom. Not sure if we would add a bathroom down there, if we did it wouldn't be a full one.

The garage is 24x24 and has an 8x7 rear door, 16x7 front door. In some ways the big door is nice because you can park in the center and have a ton of room to work, and I have room on the sides for the work bench and such. But fitting an F-150 and a CX5 in a 16 ft wide space is a little tight.

I would really like a 3 car garage in the next house. Something like 28x36 would be awesome.

I have a dinky 1 car that wont fit the Tacoma, and my wife's camry would be a tight squeeze. So we use it as a shed basically, firewood and bicycles and such. My Mazda 3 was small and fit well, that was really nice to have during snow storms. Next house will need at least a 1 car that can fit the Tacoma for wrenching, but otherwise hopefully a move down south and we don't need the garage for snow storms :D

I'm 24W x 26D. The extra depth is nice because I've got a large snowblower and no storage shed. At one point I had a lawn tractor in there and could still fit a CX-5, but I don't know if I could fit my truck in there if I still had one. The wild thing is that when I moved in to the house there wasn't an entry door between the house and garage even though it was attached. I've got two dedicated doors rather than a single, although I think the single would be nice in terms of working on vehicles.

For the next house, I'd like a three car as well, although if they're not done right, they're a bit ostentatious. I'd either have it set up so that the door openings don't face the road and you see the side of the garage from the street, or have a two car opening in front with a side door / extra stall in back so I could put a third car in for winter.

What is kinda nice (and selfish for me at least) right now is that Amy doesn't necessarily want the garage space. Her Jeep has a remote start so she doesn't care about the garage stall. Since I don't have a remote start, it's nice to not wait in a freezing cold truck for windows to defrost.
