    They do a good job getting cool footage but like most television they over-hype and exaggerate a lot of stuff to make it more dramatic.

    They sold out hard after the first couple seasons. At this point, everything is sponsored content hyped up to be more adventurous than it really is.

    Massive first-mover advantage... they were one of the first US "overlanding" channels and got a ton of traffic early on before others caught up and they have some massive sponsorships from it.

    It's more that selling out typically brings an increase in quality of production and toys and a decrease in quality of content. The last series they did with the paragliding was 90% fluff and a sales pitch for the Gladiator.
