I had to put a rubber mat over my lineX to keep things from sliding around. They work.

Yes, I think it’s a fine addition, but I just hate having stuff like that. If I’m going to add something like that, I want To set it and forget it. Also, the bed will most likely get a bed carpet that I won’t take out often so the idea of a bed mat is kinda pointless.

If you're putting a bed carpet in the bed why do you think you need a spray in bed liner anyway?

Well first, I won’t always have the carpet in there, although it will be most of the time, and second I don’t want to store a huge piece of rubber when I have the carpet in. That’s why I was thinking about the lining, it’s installed thin, and stays there without storing extra stuff when not in use.

I guess I’m asking if anyone has done a home install of the spray in liner. A sort of rubberized undercoating. If so how much did it cost? I was thinking only the floor, and still want to put tie down tracks in. Another reason for not going with the mat.

The answer is going to be no from everyone. Because it's a composite bed and the mat is cheap.

I will say this, my bed mat was in there when I bought the truck and stays in 99.9999% of the time. I've only taken it out twice... I took a sofa to the dump and wanted to slide it out easily, and I took it out the other day to move an 8ft × 3ft x 2ft cabinet without wrestling it across the mat. Otherwise the mat stays in, stays in place, and I forget it's in there.

You're looking for something "set and forget." The bed mat is it, brother.

Bed mat. I just got one, it's awesome. Everything just stays where you put it

Stall mats are a different species, those things are like 90lbs and I drop serious weight on those in the garage.

The composite bed will flex and then a bedliner will be peeling off in no time.

But you should definitely bedliner it and post pics in a year or two

Lol. I try to flop mine over itself lengthwise to clean out from under it occasionally. Not gonna lie, bastard has nearly catapulted me thru the back glass on several failed attempts.

Cheers to those who have battled bravely with stall mats and have lost only a little pride and self respect.
