Ive always liked the look if projectors, and since i needed better headlights anyways, @YumaTRD convinced me to spend money on lights i will use more often than just in the dirt. Of course i ran with it a bit and got halos n demon eyes as well lol. The whole project was pretty easy. The most time consuming for me though was running all the wires n hiding them. All in all it came out pretty solid. I hard mounted the relay, but everything else i used industrial strength velcro for outdoor use. It held up wheeling all last weekend, so if you're gonna go this route i would suggest using it. It simplifies things big time. Not gonna do a write up, theres already a fuck ton of em for retros.

I love em and they're really fun to mess with even if they're mall crawler status lol

It’s money well spent for something you’ll use every day. Especially with it being dark by 5pm now.

Your logic was irrefutable. Most of the time it is. I guess it depends on how many silver bullets have been consumed lol

About $600. I bought new housings that were blacked out on Amazon for $80 and the lights cost me $500. I used an old discount code I found on here for TRS for the group buy. I gave it to a friend and he said it didnt work. they shut it down after I used it.

Yeah, in the scheme of things its not bad. You want a good light its gonna cost ya. Look at baja designs lp6, its 450ish for one. So 500 wasnt bad. You could do it with just the halos for about $400 if you use your existing lights

That’s a good point, although I gotta figure out my headlight issue first. The lights don’t turn off when the truck is on, better broken on then off haha

Check your switch at the steering wheel. It could have gone bad.

So Ive got some updates...First off I finally switched to 650 14” coils for the front shocks. The 700’s worked, but it just felt like too much stress on the front end, and were really stiff.
    7F02C610-7B7B-425D-8F46-A00F80AF372C.jpg

I also sold my front bumper and went with a Relentless summit bumper with a budbuilt skid. I wanted to move away from the Allpro because of the skids being so narrow and tiny. That and I just started to really not like the look of it.

    :bananadance::bananadance::bananadance:

The switch over wasnt as quick as I hoped. But it is finally done. My first obstacle was realizing that the winch controller needed to be relocated and I had limited space left in the engine bay for it. I looked up a bunch of threads on it and settled for a solution by making a battery cage/solenoid bracket. Obviously it wasnt gonna happen that day so I threw the bumper on.

I bought a used budbuilt skid that had never really been used for a really good price and knew it needed to be trimmed. So I talked to @Ritchie and he trimmed it up nicely for me. I got it home to find that the LCA mounts didnt line up  I wondered how the fuck that was possible and then remembered my last trip to superstition helped remove said mounts from the truck. They were welded back on, but not in the right places. So I called up @YumaTRD and asked him if he could help me weld new plates on there and make new mounts. He said yea and I cut them out, then used a plasma cutter for the new mounts and he zapped em on

Then I finally had the skid on!!!
    9B02EDCA-F94C-406F-B276-5C1D76102C4C.jpg

I then had to find a solution to the mount, and where I was gonna get it made. I dont have a bender, so I went to competitive metals and they sent me to an hvac guy who hooked me up and did a great job. I cleaned up some of the welds with a flap disk, then cut the holes out of the bottom to lighten it up, and allow for drainage. Finally I drilled holes for the solenoid.

Then I just had to run all the wire that I bought, add the fogs and its wires. I had to trim the opening by the headlight with a flap disk to allow all the wires to pass through. We filed down the sharp spots and added some door trim after painting it to protect the wires.

    B7AF563D-AD24-42B4-A5C2-86BCB3B86153.jpg

Then we got the bumper on, and I did the final line ups so everything fits properly and ran the wires and ziptied em appropriately.

Once everything was buttoned up I got the grill back on, pretensioned the winch, and tested the new rigid fogs. Regardless to say I am stoked with the outcome.

A few maintenance stuff was done to the rig too. I replaced the front diff bushings with durobumps replacements.

I also got help from @Ritchie and his brother to get the bed off and weld up the cracks I put in it. @erice helped out too to speed things up.
