That crossed my mind too! This UG mount is pretty well designed. He's pretty talented and gung ho about doing new projects

Alright guys. Who’s gonna make an adapter so we can run the blower the truck really needs? This is on a 5.7. But the location of pulley and throttle body looks perfect. Tvs2650 40% bigger then the tvs1900.

even if it only allowed a shallow aem x-series gauge pair. a little angle towards the drivers view. i want to make one. far easier if i could buy it.

That thing is nice but that's mated to fit a V8. We only have a 6. Adapter or not you would probably lose a lot of airflow by blocking off two ports.

Ya but some way to just use the blower and mate it to our heads. I dunno I’m not an engineer or fabricator. But if i have to cut my hood to make it fit I’d say worth it lol

Oh yeah, I forgot that it is also massive and the chances of it fitting under our hood would be difficult as well.

Hahahaha. 3 psi gets us 300HP extra with that thing.

You imagine the insanity in that?!

The support the 5.7 has is very enticing. Makes me consider getting a crewmax tundra instead.

A engine swap would be a year long ordeal for me with the limited time I have. In that time I could just save and write the check for that 5.7 Tundra lol

If you guys want power, why not turbo? All the current ball bearing stuff winds up fairly quickly, adjustable on the fly electronic boost controller gauges, similar fueling to S/C, heck of a lot cheaper (most cost goes into the turbos and fabbing the manifold). Only reason I went S/C was the set it and forget it aspect but you guys are swapping things so quickly

I’d love a turbo kit. But can’t do the fab side of it. Maybe if someone here would make a kit cough cough @Torspd

I think the idea is that the TRD blower is a happy medium between enough power and still maintaining reliability. All the little tweaks and mods aren’t adding THAT much.

Doing a turbo kit would start to decrease reliability and require engine work.

Have you seen all the small tweaks? Happy medium is slowly out the window ;). Forced induction reliability is based on fuel delivery, timing and tuning. You're running into the same with S/C, but I think the power is easier to build on the other platform.

Has anyone ever had this happen? Truck's temps are fine but it doesnt appear to be returning coolant thru the radiator. Reservoir was overflowing and radiator took some to fill it back up. Any thoughts on what could be causing this
