A friend of mine called me and he needed some help. "Honey (my wife) we're going on a road trip."

This is where my friend lives. $150 a month.

This might look like a road but it definitely didn't feel like one. Lol.

Marlin taco on the right. Really good eating.

Crossing back into the US. It took 2 1/2 hours. Anything and everything is for sale in this line.

I would literally drive into hell for that particular friend. TJ has the highest murder rate in the world so maybe I did drive into hell but the food definitely didn't taste like it. Lol
    20200202_063016.jpg
$3.55 in TJ, go into the US and it's $9.68. Everything is cheaper in TJ, especially if it can kill you. LMAO

Used to go to TJ back in 50’s and 60’s to get our cars upholstered “tuck n roll” $200 could get the whole car done. Ensenada for surfing and parting during spring break

It was not, although I did this maybe 10 minutes after getting home from work. I did more reading and it should have been running when I checked it.

That looks awesome. Thinking about replacing the stock radio in my 2012 since it started blinking on and off. Did you have any trouble getting the steering wheel controls working with it?

Well, I hate it when I think about something and then it becomes a reality. Last week I thought about the boots needing replacing soon.

What bumper is that? And did you lose your hitch in the swap?

Looks like a Pelfreybilt standard rear. I think the oem hitch is removed on that bumper and there is a hidden hitch behind the license plate.

It is NOT overfilled. The transmission needs to be filled while it is on so that the pump can intake the fluid from the pan. There will always be a quart or so that comes out if the vehicle is off and is normal. The proper way to fill it it to have it on while filling and ensuring a bit of fluid weeps out from the smaller Allen bolt on the pan. Please look up the diy before you cause irreversible damage from running the transmission dry.

It is the Pelfreybuilt Standard rear bumper and it has an integrated hitch receiver located behind the flip up license plate holder. The receiver and trailer plug are located behind the license plate.

I bought it used from another TW member who posted it for sale in the 2nd Gen B/S/T Forum. He upgraded to a bumper with dual swing outs.

I have the aluminum version. Hidden hitch is a nice feature. Two guys at work yelled at me for not even having a hitch. Ha IMG_20200129_142735525_HDR.jpg

I created a solution to a problem I created and it worked perfectly. Now I need to make 13 more just like it.

Thanks! No it was easy - I ordered through Crutchfield and you plug in your vehicle info on their site and they send you the converter and all the harnesses you need and it’s just a quick plug and play. I didn’t realize how many vehicles the harness was common for so it looks a little goofy with extra connectors but nothing you can ever see once it’s all tucked in there.
