25% tip is the minimum I will tip. Multiple reasons.

1. I've worked as a waiter/server, and this does multiple things. One of them is that it humbles you. Another, is if you are having a bad night, it reminds you that humanity is not lost.

2. I like making someone's day. On my birthday, I typically tip 100%.

3. There are enough shit heads out there who dont tip at all. When you are a waiter/server and you are absolutely killing it and someone stiff you, it can ruin your day. I like to think if my waiter(ess)/server has been stiffed that I can make up for it.

People are literally cooking and bringing you food and drink.


This is also why I typically cook at home and dont eat out because it is very expensive.
