Never rode with those. I am sure they are good to go like all others.

It’s just different characteristics and price that peeps like/ dislike.

I’m running them up front. Great ride.
Basically same price point as OME and I wasn’t impressed with OME on son’s T4R. Basically what drove the decision to try them.

The 884/5100s have been great. A little stiffer than stock on road. We'll see what the 886/5100s do. I forgot to mention, weight wise, I have sliders too. Didn't know how that would affect things since it's not front end weight.

So the whole getting into a more tow capable truck is not going to happen. Any local guys running 5.29s rear gears? I kind of want to ride in it and see how it feels... i'm high considering regearing my truck to handle the towing better and i know i will eventually up grade to 33s after the lift goes on that's been collecting dust at my house.

Put in for a job change on Friday. The job posting was already taken down but my boss signed it anyway. Quality Control.

Trying to crash course reading calipers/indicators/mics and blueprints/drawings atm. Need to pad my pension/401k for the next 8 years.

Good luck man. Do y'all get shift differentials for you being on nights? Would the job change give you enough of an increase to put you above that amount? That's my problem right now. I'd love to switch up jobs but but nothing so far makes the switch worth it.

    Absolutely.10% nite shift bonus.
I've been on 2nds for about 2 years. Prior to that it was 18 years on 3rds. Never worked 1st shift.

It's a couple pay grades higher, about an extra $4/hr.
I'll probably turn it down if I have to train on 1st shift, as I don't get along with any of the QC operators on 1st.

My current job is just way to boring as I can finish what I need to get done in 4 hrs. So I'm literally surfing the net the other 4 hrs. It requires no thinking and I need to stimulate my brain.

If I can bag this QC job, then I can still work OT on my old job at my new rate.

We are hiring. Unfortunately, we've switched to a 2 tier system and no pensions for new hires.
But most manufacturing jobs nowadays have done away with pensions.

Yeah, i was the last of the new hires at Boeing that was eligible for pension, but it's been frozen. So now i'm just vested in my 401k more.

Things are good with me here now, but you never know and i may need to scout around for another job in the manufacturing industry. Trying to keep it local. I'm so tired of moving cross country to stay in the game.
