Finally finished a few mini mods since the weather here in Chicago finally reached the 50's.

Seat risers from @olecoot that I painted black myself. Makes a huge difference to alleviate lower back pain and the odd angle the factory seats are at

Finally upgraded the OEM all weather mats to the Husky Weatherbeater floor liners after research comparing it to the Weathertechs. These are cheaper and material wont bend on the edges over time like the weathertechs do.

New shifter bushing. Replacing the OG one with 143k molds on it to get rid of some of the slop.

How did you get the shifter boot off without removing the whole center console? I have to do the same thing.

Push the forward edge of it down first, it’ll pop off the clips. then the rest of it will come loose if you pull the boot forward.

    Hopefully that made sense.

At some point I will. I’m always on the hunt for a deal on a used one.

F a deal, just go buy one. By far one of the best mods for our trucks.

Soooo.... A question about that awesome rearview mirror. How was the install? Any wire cutting? Did you already have the OEM back up camera? Is it a basic plug and play? I've been researching dashcams for a while now and those suckers are expensive. The price with yours is reasonable and seems more like a winner.

    Thanks for sharing!

    is this for 6MT?

    What grease did you use?
K-Flo's Krib (Tacoma youtube channel) says he used wheel bearing grease,
and I have some red Mobil 1 kind I used on zerk fittings on the propshaft, etc.
but am not sure if it's the best, since wheel bearing grease is said to be petroleum-based and dissolve rubber. At least the gold color grease.
    And the bushing is plastic.

Honda people (like on the mostly manual S2000) seem to prefer the Honda Urea hi temp grease, whatever it's called.

is that the only part required for a rebuild?

Picked up a SnugTop shell for my 08 but it was white and had some deep scratches on the side where the previous owner had leaned it against the shop on its side.

    20200201_100722.jpg

A buddy and I pulled it off this weekend since we had nice weather, sanded the shell with 120 grit , I had ordered the raptor liner kit off Amazon for spraying this shell and some other components.
    20200201_172248.jpg

sprayed it at 50 psi, used 2 of the 4 qts and it came out with a nice texture and it filled in the scratches very well, 20200201_172052.jpg 20200201_172013.jpg
and the finished product back on the pick-up
