    Mornin’ whateverererers. :rain:

I should hear from my insurance company today about the estimate on the damage from Saturday’s accident.

Is it worth it to use insurance to fix minor cosmetic damage on a 20-year-old truck that has 226k miles?

Thanks. Nobody was hurt and it was a light hit, but the dude had a suspended license and didn't even look before coming over into my lane. I'm still pissed about it, to be honest.

I'm wondering if it's even worth it to move forward with filing a claim? Older Taco with a lot of miles.
    Any thoughts from the whatevererererererers?

    Did he have insurance?
If so you could pocket the check if you can live with the scar. Blending paint that old won’t be cheap.

Yeah, apparently he has valid and current coverage even with a suspended license. And you're 100% right - my paint is all original and single-stage, so it will never match regardless of how good the body shop is. :frusty:

Thanks for the feedback, all. I should hear from my insurance company this afternoon and will see what they say.

That happened to be my exact facial expression on Saturday morning when this dude hit my little Taco.

I guess my insurance company is going to work directly with his? I'm honestly not sure, the whole process is new to me.
The only thing I did on Saturday was call the cops to have a police report filed, then called my insurance company to let them know what happened. When I called them, they took down his insurance information and policy number. Did I dig myself into some kind of hole here?
