It was a nice day. I’ve enough where I finally got the OEM power tailgate lock installed. Bath tomorrow, and maybe this weekend brakes for the Altima.

JACKED: what do you guys use for lifting your lifted trucks? OEM bottle jacks? floor jacks? other?
It’s 14in from floor to jack points down below... I’m guessing I need a jack that lifts to around 20in +/- ? (I honestly haven’t tried my OEM jack yet but hopefully that’ll do.)
An *affordable* recommended solution is key...

Edit: forgot to mention I cut some treated 2x12’s into 12” pieces and thought of stacking a couple under the OEM bottle jack and jack stands. Hopefully that’s good enough?

After almost gouging a door with a small floor jack earlier today.. blocks aren't there best.

Harbor freight and northern usually have good deals on 2.5-3 ton jacks that'll work.

I’ve used solid 2x4 sections with OEM jacks and stands since basically ever. As long as the supporting wood base is solid, centered, and balanced I’d trust it.

just don’t do something brittle like cinder blocks and such.

    Hit me up my friend.
My company manufactures hydraulics for some of the largest tire chains here in the US.
My largest account is Discount Tire.
I’m pretty well versed with this kind of stuff

shoot. Last guy that hit me up left my house with a brand new torque wrench and a set of torque sticks. Wanted to add they were free of charge to him

So I've come to the conclusion that i went a little heavy on my springs up front. Does anyone have any recommendations on what spring manufacturer i should go with? Stick with King, or get something like Eibach? Looking at getting a 14" 650lb spring for 2.5" coilover. If anyone has those, and its too light and would like to trade for some 700lb springs, let me know.

Make sure you give them an adequate 'break-in' period before you go to different spring. I'm no expert and have zero experience with high end components like King, but I believe all aftermarket springs will take a bit of mileage and use to truly settle in.

One other thing: Does anyone have any 05-15 LCA laying around that need rebuilding? LCA bushings are on their way out, I'd like to get a second set of LCA's to rebuild so i can just pop em in. Also, any recommendations on LCA bushings? Energy Suspension or?

You'll be amazed at how capable these trucks are from the factory. All that other stuff is mostly hype.

    I had one of those!

HF low pro steel 3 ton jack with a T on the end. The low pro actually goes higher than the normal one.

Jack: the "T": The cross beam is about the dimensions of a 2x4 and each pad is adjustable from 0-5" height. Because of the distribution of weight, this setup is awesome for tire rotations. Not so good if you only want to lift one tire.

The OEM bottle jack will work, but good luck lifting by the frame. If lifting the rear, go for the axle. If lifting the front, go for the LCA. Just make darn sure the truck isn't going to move as it gets lifted.

I have some in TX that I keep trying to get the guy who has them to ship to me. I would stick with OEM bushings.

That's pretty crappy. I say post up their username so that we know who not to loan tools to. Maybe a tag will get them motivated to return it.

Hey sorry I was out of town - i let someone borrow it, then they asked if they could pass it on to someone else. I know who has it, I just haven't gotten with them to get it back. They're cool, I just got to reach out to them to meet up. Sorry if I made it sound like they were being shady.

I believe @Kloverz158 has it. If so, you guys can grab it and we can just consider it the Ga Tacoma owners ECGS tool - I'm not too worried about getting it back.
