Your repair is a lot more work than mine! I just need to replace outer boot front driver side. Tore mine o_O like an IDIOT!!!
Got my OEM axle in route UPS off a 2019 with 1mi on it from LKQ <$90 shipped out of PA should be here Thursday.
Gonna swap it and then reboot mine and keep it around as a spare.
Good luck getting that spline out easy...

No doubt. It'll come out one way or another. It's a true trac LSD carrier, so I'm hoping I can get to it from the other side to drive it out, but if not, drill and tapping it is pretty much the only option short of taking the true trac apart.

    Tada!

It popped right out with a single stroke of the slide hammer. The hardest part was figuring out how to drill and tap the hole without the differential turning. Unfortunately, I only figured out one of my old tripod joint cups fit in the other side after the hole was already drilled, but it made tapping it easy. Now all I have to do is get a new seal and exchange the broken CV and put it all back together...which, BTW, is a shit load easier with those 2 extra inches of clearance lifting the engine provided.

I actually used a set of digital calipers zeroed on a bullet diameter (.264") and then measured the furthest outside distance. Effectively, it's measuring the furthest outside distance and then subtracting a bullet width giving a center to center measurement. Sounds more complicated than it is, but more accurate than measuring center to center by eye.

I believe my 6.5 BR is capable of better than those groups, but life happened before I got to do much load development. Plus, the fact is, anything consistently under .340" (IIRC) would have guaranteed an X in 100 yrd BR for Score with a 6.5mm bullet where the 10 ring is the size of a dime and the X is an 1/8" dot. That is, of course, if the nut behind the butt was functioning properly.

Can't wait to see what my AR will do.

I don't, but if you're talking about Harbor Reloading, then yeah, I've bought some stuff from him. Pretty much the only game in town if you want to buy powder in 5 lb lots. These days, he might be the only game in town if you want to buy powder at all without incurring an insane hazmat fee.

Next time you cruise on by see if they have Hogden HS-6, H335, and Vitavitory (Sp?) N135. Honestly not sure I'd rather go to Brandon than Safety Harbor to get powder, but an option would be nice.

On a plus note, I have the T4R back...just after I finished putting the OGT back together yesterday, go figure. They said the ECU was toast at first, but then they called me today and said it turned out to be a corroded chassis ground. That may have been something I might have been able to find if I would have just cleaned the grounds by rote with a wiring issue, but I didn't and Toyota of Tampa Bay could have soaked me for the ECU but they didn't. They ended up charging me $500 to fix a ground and I was happy about it, lol, considering I was looking a $2500 for the ECU.

Now there's coincidence for ya. I just made an announcement on the Tampa Bay thread trying to put together some interest for a range day at the WAC. I was planning on sighting in my AR with the Nikon scope, but right after I posted it, UPS showed up and dropped off my Leupold that I eventually wanted to put on the rifle.

I was just calling the FWC today about ranges. I am trying to sight in a couple weapons here very soon. I tried the Hernando Sportsman Club and it was okay. Not crazy expensive, but I'd prefer a free range obviously. The only one I know is down at Tenoroc or Ocala. Do you guys know anywhere to go to setup a temporary range to sight something in on public land? I feel like I'll get the FWC down my neck for doing it on the Chass during hunting season.

I don't know of anyone with land, but I'd be interested for sighting in my shotgun (25-30yrds). WAC isn't shotgun friendly and the trap and skeet places aren't what I need. I also don't want to pay $30/hr to use Shooter's World's rifle range.

Yeah, I'm down. I'll do some more snooping and see what I can find. You can shoot on public wildlife management land during hunting season windows, but like I said it is super busy in Chass so I feel like it'd just cause problems. I miss having a friend with farm land.

Ya know, I think I kinda love my AR. Today was the first day in about 15 yrs I shot a rifle, and with my 6.5mm BR, it started to hurt after 40 rnds or so. Today I ran 110 rnds through the rifle and am not a bit sore. It shoots pretty nice too. I know these are nothing to get excited about but the first two are factory Federal American Eagle 55gr general purpose ammo. The last was a 10 shot group with my factory Federal Gold Cup 69gr SMK match grade ammo...And it's only going to get better when I work up my own loads.

Wind was an issue but it was blowing from behind us and kept blowing the targets up so you had to wait to take a shot. Bringing some fishing weights and alligator clips with me next time.

I have to clean my reloading bench off which has been collecting crap for the last 10 years. After that, I ordered a body sizing die so I can run all my loaded and primed rounds through it. That will leave me with about 500 brand new pieces of brass (700 total), plus a few odd pieces from shooting factory ammo I collected. I only have six 100 rnd boxes though, but considering one batch of a hundred is on it's 7th reload, it might behoove me to put that one on the back shelf. I do want to make it to 1000 rnds on hand though.

Now's the fun part though...load development. With the body die I ordered 500 Sierra 60 gr TMK bullets, 500 Sierra 69 gr SMK bullets, and 1000 Primers. I probably have a butt load of 52 gr SMK, 53 gr SMK, 55 gr Honraday Balistic tip bullets lying around as well.

Got my work cut out for me, but at least I'm not going super OCD with prepping the brass. I might debur the flash holes, but that's about it. It's an AR not a bolt gun.

Edit: I sure as hell ain't neck turning 1000 pieces of brass. :boom:

That military brass if your reloading the 5.56 has a crimp where the primer seats. I just use a chmafer bit to open the hole up only about maybe .005". Im heading to show this weekend to get some CCI 400 primers and see what else they have. Send me a list if you need or are looking for anything.

Ball joint spacers and lift blocks, am I doing it right?
You should get one of these too. Sure beats picking up your brass off the ground!

Caldwell sells them. Takes a small adaptor on the rail, just make sure you have room.
