Fair enough - it's nice to see things working for me. With all the slow mo stuff on instagram these days I feel like I get to see stuff that really helps me to understand the way everything's working together.

A/B videos of before / after shock tuning really helps to illustrate what you said about shock tuning as well. It does make it or break it.

Is it true that the only welding to be done on this kit is welding a lower shock mount to the axle? All the rest bolts into where the factory stuff got cut off from?

ya just the Weld-on axle perches (might need a drive shaft slip yoke) for the ring and pinion angle.

Spoke with Camburg, they said no slip yolk needed.

You'll rip out your carrier bearing if you don't add a slip yoke to the driveshaft due to the plunge.

Anyone know what h70/e30 springs (their prerunner leaf pack) lift height is?

so who do w believe? The company that races the trucks says no, you say yes. My factory drive shaft has a slip already. Where do we find out how much droop and travel the factory drive lines can handle? Without opinions, but facts?

Depends on your setup. I’d call Camburg since the kit has completely different leaf mounts and shackle lengths it’s not as easy to say as with a stock replacement pack but that pack is designed to give ~3-4” lift on other applications.

And literally see if the slip yoke pulls apart? And measure pinion angle at full droop? I keep getting told different things. I need to add a better, longer travel yoke and that my U joint won’t handle the full droop angle. Then, other dudes are alike, “F it, I’m running the factory driveshaft with 22” of travel with no issues” . Drive shaft business are telling me to spend $400, home fab guys are saying run the shit I have. I’m in life to do this, after cycling of course...

Whoever’s setup you go with just ask them the clearances and spline engagement you want and measure. I don’t know the differences in 2nd gen driveshafts besides regular cab prerunners not having a telescoping slip yoke from the factory.

I'll be cycling mine here real soon, without a slip yoke.

2wd drive trucks 100% need driveshaft modifications. And 4wd trucks cycling over 17” need the drive shaft shortened slightly
