@El Duderino is legit and probably aching for opening day

for the most part i will certainly agree, but there are a few bad & rotten apples on here (as one would expect) to avoid and steer clear from...

My friend encountered something like this almost ten years ago...

His first car (a 1997 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight that he bought for like $1,500 in 2005) was started to really show its age in 2010. He had his heart set on a 2004-2006 Nissan Maxima, and he got approved for a loan; All he had to do was find the right car. One of the places he looked was CL, and he found a red 2007 Maxima (this was back in 2010 so a loaded '07 Maxima was still fairly expensive) listed in the Philly section; What drew him to the '07 Maxima was that the seller was asking like $2,500! My friend thought it was too good to be true, but emailed the seller just for the hell of it; The seller turned out to be a woman with no driver's license, and if I remember correctly she'd gotten the car in a divorce and just wanted it gone...

Then, we found out that the car was located in Nevada, if the car even existed to begin with; Keep in mind that it was listed in Philly! My friend stopped communicating with the seller at that point. My friend didn't really even want a 2007-2008 Maxima because 2007 was the first year they started using CVTs, and the recently-released 2009 models were well out of his price range. He ended up finding a beautiful silver 2006 Maxima SL with about 38K miles at a local CarMax-like dealer called CarSense, and he got a great deal on it. He owned that car for six years and it had about 170K miles on it when he traded it in; 170K miles and he never had a problem with it!

    I smell bullshit.

Either OP is playing with us, or I've got a few business propositions (easy money!!) to discuss with him....

Hell, I'll give you my 01 4x4 EC TRD Pro for free! You just have to pay $5,000 for each of the 8 rims/tires (Toyota alloy rims with dedicated studded mud/snow tires and 1/2 used Toyo regular season tires). I'll even throw in the newly ordered (& yet to be installed) wiper blade inserts and OEM seat belts.

Reminds me of many years ago I was trying to sell an old Nikon D2 camera on eBay and some guy hit me up about wanting to buy it for his son. Only problem was, his 'son' was on a mission for their church in Nigeria so I would need to send the camera there. Once he got the shipping info he would send me the money.
Me, being ~20 years old and naive as fuck, decided he sounded honest enough so I would go for it. The lady at the post office looked at the shipping address to Nigeria and asked me over and over again if I was really knew what I was doing, lol. On the drive back home from the post office it smacked me across the face that I had just gotten scammed. Luckily I drove back and got my camera just as they were loading it on the truck to take away. Emailed the guy and told him to screw off and he never replied.

Yep. I mean this was ~13 years ago now but even then it was a huge red flag if anyone had a sob story that involved shipping the item to another country (especially a 3rd world one).

About 13 years ago, I got an unsolicited email from a Nigerian woman wanted to do one of those wire transfer deals...
