Clutch was going when I bought it. It was a negotiating point. 78,000 miles and a 2008, 9 years on the clutch when it was replaced. Still some material on the clutch plate but a lot of scorching on the clutch surface and the pressure plate. No idea how the previous owner drove it. I'm guessing he was a foot on the clutch guy that liked to slip it a lot.

Good to see some high miles on these clutches. Aside from the dreaded clutch squeak/creak, mine appears to be going strong at 104k. Now to track down some disc brake grease to nip it in the butt.

I know this isn't a Tacoma, but I had 196,000 plus on the clutch on my '87 Ranger I purchased new when I drove it to the junk yard. Once rolling I rarely used the clutch. Besides mechanical issues I would have had to address, the frame was getting real bad. The cross-member for the tranny mount was resting on a single bolt. The frame material was rusted clean through.
