Master cylinder on 2015 Tacoma

    Square head hose clamp tail gate protector. Bed mat. Cargo divider. Shell. De-badged and de-stickered.
    The truck is supposed to have vehicle stability and traction control. There is a button on the dash which when pushed, AUTO LSD lights up on the dash as well as an icon of a car losing traction. The master cylinder looks like a normal one bolted to the power brake booster. Nothing like the integrated master cylinder shown in my Haynes manual. I also have an ABS hydraulic control unit which Haynes says is part of the integrated master cylinder assembly. This matters when flushing the brake system and the order of wheels to do the flush. According to Haynes. I could just let the dealer flush the brake fluid but it is a pretty easy job. And I would like to save the money.

    only 09+ TRD off road 4x4's came with the all in one electric boosted master cylinder / abs / traction control unit. (and very select few 05-08 6 lug tacos with the rare optional vsc package)

    You have a standard master cylinder thats vacuum boosted with a separate abs / traction control unit.

    Well then, what Haynes says about the order of a brake flush on a truck with VSC TRAC makes no sense. Haynes says to do the fronts first. Either wheel. Then do the rears last. Either wheel. The longest brake line from the abs hydraulic control unit is the right rear then left rear then left front and finally right front. I'm wondering if that is the order that I should do the flush?

    OP, the ABS/VSC stuff on yours is mounted over on the RH fender far away from the actual master cylinder. Yours is called the vacuum assisted system and bleeding/flushing works pretty much like conventional brakes. Just be very careful to not let the master cylinder run low or actually empty when doing the job. Otherwise its an job easy and when I had mine with your system I followed the bleeding order as that has pretty much been the convention for a long time.

    I have a 2015 Sport as well, so you recommend following the standard bleed order:

    RR —> LR —> RF —> LF
