$99 for the aluminum skid isn't bad at all. It looks thin though- about 3/16 which I guess is good enough for the bike since I don't really intend on using it. It's for road debris more than anything.

Its definitely thin. I dont think its meant for more than road debris. Definitely not the jumping that @FreshOldTaco was talking about

I believe the company with the link I provided also does just the vest as well. I probably will go with just the vest so I can change up the top layer depending on the weather

The one thing I'm kinda jelly about is that he has cruise control. Now that's cool

The quick shift (or whatever it’s called) is pretty cool too. Just go full throttle and not let up at all or clutch when shifting. That combined with dynamic mode for the engine and suspension makes my bike a lot of fun on the road.

on the fence about putting a pipe on it, I plan on holding out for some time on that one

these new bikes ride great but those k1 gixxers will forever look the best... :amen:

yea the power you can buy out the box these days on two wheels is rather ridiculous, BUT since I basically have the lowest hp 600 in its class I try and not think about that lol

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
The nickname for my rc51 was ‘Torture Rack’, had to have been the most uncomfortable bike I have ever owned. But one could one it just for the sound alone.

I think a need a 500exc and 1290 superduke...then id be happy with the bike collection. Ha. But those arent going to happen anyways.

If im just cruisin around town i dont wear armor anymore. Maybe a padded jacket when the fall weather hits but thats about it.

If I'm hitting twistys I wear gear but if I'm just riding around town a hoodie will do. Always wear gloves tho idk why force of habit.

Every time I’ve been down it’s been a low side with feet and legs first. Good boots will keep your ankles from folding over like paper, good pants and jacket keep your skin attached, good helmet keeps your brain inside where it belongs. The least protected I’ll go is jeans on rare occasion and my work boots instead of riding boots when I take the bike to work. Shorts, t-shirt, flip flops, no gloves, no helmet hurts pretty bad.

I was kidding. I think Ive only rode once with shorts, and I felt naked.

For me, jeans and a hoodie if its a little chilly, always gloves. I had a 3/4 helmet for a little while, but someone reminded me that my chin will still be exposed if I go down. So I sold it and switched to a full face. I agree with something covering your ankles, but Ive been riding in high top Converse, and although the shoes suck/uncomfortable, they are probably better than normal sneakers. Im on the hunt right now for some riding shoes with ankle protection, and an armored hoodie. I have some decent gloves already. I will probably not invest in riding jeans or another leather jacket, although Ill look up the JP Cycles one.

The last big leather jacket I had, weighed alot and was probably for winter use - it wasnt vented. I would rarely use it. Also for the fact that I didnt want to mess it up because it was $600.

Lemme know what you find boot wise. Im probably gonna buy another pair of vans high tops in their mte line (leather ish). But I wouldn’t mind having a good riding boot
