He'll only be ok somewhere like Arizona. But I'm sure he'll find something else to obsess about.

Yeah I crushed mine as well on a trail almost exactly a year ago. Crushed it way beyond beating it back into shape lol.

To be honest I'm not all that happy with the one I bought but it got the job done. It doesn't fit as well as OEM, the gap where it meets the hood is noticeably wider than on the other side as well as where it meets the headlight. But every review I read on aftermarket fenders mentioned that was an issue.

I would recommend getting a CAPA certified aftermarket fender off Rockauto. Capa certified parts are what body shops go with when they use aftermarket body parts. The fitment is likely going to be best second only to OEM.

I'm keeping my eyes peeled still for a used OEM radiant red driver fender that I can put on eventually

But seriously, wait until spring, and do as good as you can. In the end it's just a truck. Your only other option to get it perfect is either pull the frame and refinish or get another frame and refinish and swap it in. Neither of which makes sense at this point.

That's exactly what I figured would be the issue with aftermarket. With rockauto shipping it's almost as much as OEM, but parts geek is about $100 shipped. Also CAPA certified.

    Thanks for the info.

Yeah I think you'll be happier with the capa one. Mine wasnt certified, cost about $70 shipped. Works for now but I do want to replace it eventually with a used OEM one in the right color. Not easy to come by though in good shape for a decent price

We finally got some snow at night so I was able to test out the BD Ambers. Lacking a vertical cutoff it isn't perfect however, it's far better than a white LED or even brights. It still shoots up and catches snow the in your sight line but not as bad as any other lights I've dealt with.
    Low beams.
    0203201930.jpg
High beams. You can see more snow being caught in above the hood.
    0203201930a.jpg
A white LED spot style pod.
    0203201937a.jpg
And finally the Amber Baja Designs lights.
It gives a great spread on the ground with minimal snow in the air being illuminated.
    0203201939a.jpg
    0203201937b.jpg
All lights are basically on the same level as the pods are mounted on the front bumper at basically headlight level.

Very pleasing color at night it appears. Seems pretty solid for visibility.

Just had my Tires Rotated and Balanced at Americas Tires In Chino and then headed across the street to Pepboys and Had them do a wheel alignment. First Rotation and balance on the new tires, and so far no abnormal wear. I was surprised to see that with the setup I have on the upper ball joint to see my caster specs only at 2.6 which is low being the manufacture for the upper control arm ball joints states it should be around 3.5 with the current setting.

Spent a few hours over the weekend and used come cutting compound and polishing compounds and buffed out the front end of the car. what a game changer. 17 year old paint and looks super shiny and glossy. This picture is just the passanger front done. you can see how the tailgate has that yellow oxidation to it still, that's what the whole truck had until now. slowly coming out looking amazing.sh.jpg

Next Plan for The Beast is to debadge the SR5 And Toyota Tacoma Emblems. And Then also use that cutting compound on the bed of the truck
