Anybody re-routed their Y exhaust to get better clearance. I plan to order the Bud Built kit. I am trying to decide if I should go ahead and got to a muffler shop and have my exhaust re-routed. Is that a lot of work and therefore expensive? Should I just wait until I am ready to change mufflers and do it all at the same time? Thanks.

I just had mine rerouted yesterday with 3" piping and duals ran out the back. I would wait until your ready to change mufflers too. Here are some pictures...

Thanks for the quick reply. Do you recommend the duals?

You're welcome. I do like the duals but it is not loud at all... I don't know if its because of the 3" piping or if it is just the muffler... I was hoping it would be louder.

Just in your opinion, how much do you think it is worth?

the way that its set up kinda looks like there would be more flow out of the one pipe vs. the other, lots of resistance for air to make that sharp of a bend rather than to just keep going straight, not to mention more distance to travel

I don't think this will effect smog... I still have the cats.

Yeah, idk if i'm happy with it.

I have never done any exhaust, but with that sharp turn and the cheap way they joined the pipes, I wouldn't pay anything for it (not including the materials). I would just want something a little cleaner looking.

Not trying to bash you or your truck, just the person who did it.

i had the exhaust done on my altima and they offered to y pipe for me for the same price, perfect y leading to dual mufflers, maybe if you angled the one pipe more so that its not a 90 degree bend right there...im sure its a pricey fix but just an idea..
