Who the hell knows ,had it looked at by Toyota years ago . They replaced the bulb and said it worked . Looked at my invoice and they charged me $50 . I told them take the bulb out and want a refund ,I could have done that . Got the ceramic plugs and they worked for a while then went out . Installed Morimotos and they were good for a while ,now that same one is out. If I reach up in there and wiggle stuff around it will come on

 

Don’t forget I’m mechanically challenged so I have to be in the right mood to tackle anything like this

Sounds like a loose wire.

 

Loose nut above the neck . I have a feeling it’s a broken or kinked wire right where the pig tail from the fog plugs into the truck itself . So not the pigtail it self but the part that come off the main harness . If that makes sense

 

Wish I could figure it out but I barely know how to use a multi meter

 

It’s headed this . It will be here tomorrow night late

 

@lynyrd3 take it all apart, clean up the connectors, and douse everything else dielectric grease when you reassemble. I'm not a mechanic or an electrician, but this has fixed a lot of problems for me in the past.

Good advice. That was the fix for my stalling issue during water crossing and hitting mud puddles in my lifted Landcruiser. I cleaned & applied dielectric grease to all the connectors for the dizzy & coil.

 

I've pulled pretty much every connector I can find on my old ATV and done this. Not because anything was wrong, but things just work better afterwards. Clean, greasy connections are happy connections.

 

I do my atvs also. And when I did the motor swap in my Tacoma I cleaned & greased all the connectors during reassembly. Including the Tcase & rear diff locker.

 

I need some 4runner help guys.

My battery light on the 4runner keeps coming on when i start the vehicle. It goes off and the alternator kicks on after about a mile or two.

At idle, its not charging past 11.9v

When i rev it to 2.5-3k it charges up to 12.1v

The alternator is a denso reman from rockauto....

FIXED IT.

Cable from the battery to the alternator was corroded from all the water that comes in the stupid hood scoop. So I took it off, cleaned it, and put ut back together. No more intermittent alternator. All good now
