I have a shell as well, and this would be a nice option to throw in during the winter.
I'm getting my RTT saturday and need to get my rack plan finished up. Stuck in the middle of wanting both worlds right now.

It is a mismatch of a couple styles I've seen. Basically a normal rack, tied into the bed (instead of just the rails) and having a couple of protection tubes on the sides. I've been working with a member on design, and think we have it pretty well planned out. I just need to figure out what I want to be able to mount and how.

It seem like i never remember multi-quote until I go to respond later in the page. Anyhow, yes I also just need to get out in the near future. Hopefully, when I go to pick up my rack, I can work something out on the way home and try it out. Bald Eagle should be along the trip home depending on my route.

Not while im in there. I have a Little Buddy heater, but it hasnt seen much use.

Ive been using a down blanket as a base layer, sleeping in smart wool inside of my 0 degree flannel sleeping bag, and ive been good

essentially yes, that would've been a much easier way to describe it.

Not sure if that is missing the little trim under the lights or if it is a 05-11 bumper on a 12-15 truck. Fugly, but I'm one that can appreciate function over form.
