Thanks! I saw diff drops on the Headstrong site so I wasn't sure if it was necessary. Where can I get the scoop on why they suck? Carrier bearing drops are so cheap no big deal to pick one up when I'm building my kit.

There's a bunch of threads on it. LMGTFY. General consensus if that on a 2nd gen, the can cause more harm than what they "rectify"

so quick question with all your experience. I’ve read this post front to back like 3 times. I have a 2014 DCLB LIMITED 4x4. Most my driving is on road with some infrequent off-roading for camping/fishing/shooting etc. I hate the nose dive and want to lift it no more than 2.5”. Based on what I’ve read:
5100’s in all for comers with 885 coils, 2” AAL to level it out, and I will be ok? Everything else would be stock; UCL etc.
    Your opinion?

planning to finally install the lift i have had for years...

alignment spect for OME885/5100’s and rear add a leaf from headstrong off-road should go as following correct

i want to have my specs on hand before i install so i know when i go to get aligned

    0° toe
    0° camber
2.5°ish caster or as close to 3° as can get it

What upper control arm are people running with this setup? I’d like to get a little more caster out of my alignment. Spcs seem like the choice usually but could I get away with a arm that has less adjustment being I’m only running 885s?

If the tech knows what they're doing, no, not crazy. But out of the five places I originally went, only two were able to do it. Make sure you talk to them first.

I love the functionality of this bumper setup. This is prob the route I'm gonna go as it takes up less room. Awesome!!!

Hey everybody, this thread has been a tremendous help, thank you. Picked up some 5100s and 885s from another member and initially set the height to the highest setting without installing new UCAs. That was not good at all. Now that they are set to the lowest setting, I have the truck sitting exactly where I want it. Thanks again.

so planning my lift install this week.
I know the total chaos UCA’s have fittings for greasing the uni ball and all that.

Seeing how mine have been sitting in the box brand new for the last 3.5 years i don’t have to do anything special to them do i?

Do you grease the uni all after you install?
or just install straight out the box and re grease after a certain amount of time?

Front Superbump bump stops solved the nose diving I had.
I added them before changing my front struts.

Absolutely. The first shot of the 5100s on the highest setting with the 885s. Second shot is of the 5100s on the lowest setting with the 885s.

Note that my driveway is slightly sloped so it’s not super accurate, but you can notice the difference.

My alignment guy was asking me if there are adjusters for the alignment like on the control arms i told him no bc it’s a uni ball and that none of the guys in here with the same setup had any problems with the alignment

gave him the spec i’m dropping the truck to him later tonight but he really shouldn’t have any problem aligning it should he??
