You need a new physician. Big time.

I was gonna ask if you were started on Synthroid but it looks like thats a no.

Your TPO is elevated, so you have Hashi’s, there is no ignoring that.
But the issue is most people with Hashi’s get put on Synthroid, very few ever notice an improvement in symptoms. Again its not just the lab value of the thyroid thats the problem, its a multifaceted issue.

Lifestyle changes are about all that help me.

I’ve been trying to adjust my life to get more sleep. Wife and I had a discussion last night that I am going to be in bed by 9pm daily. And if she wants to stay up then she can but I can’t keep running on 5-6 hours of sleep. Sleep is the hardest thing to get plenty of cause it’s so easy to just shrug it off.

I’m in bed by 10:30 every night. But I wake up between 5 and 5:30 everyday so I’m running on 6-7hrs of sleep and it’s not a good sleep. My wife is too pregnant for either of us to actually sleep anymore :rofl:I figure it’s good practice as a “sleep schedule” will be non existent come June :notsure:

We can sleep when we’re dead :bananadead:

IF and keto made me sleep like a rock. I was out 8-9 hours straight. If I went to bed at the right time I was waking up 5 mins before my alarm went off.

I do my best to practice good sleep hygiene. I get ready for bed 90 minutes before I need to be asleep and then read until I’m out. Phone goes away, tablets go away, only read paper books etc.

I still watch some TV before bed, which for lent we are taking the TV out of the bedroom to knock that habit.

I do need to go back on keto though. I miss the better sleep.
I need less sleep because I sleep better.

Some days the weights are heavy. Some days are going to be harder than others. Typically for me its when I didnt give myself enough recovery or sleep. Or I am hungry. I record this in my workout journal so I can recall and kind of talk to myself and coach myself through what I am writing. And avoid what I did wrong for the next time.

I am not getting tested for testosterone in my blood, but there are so many clinics (quest diagnostics, etc.) that can do all the blood tests for you for typically less than a hospital lab and then you can take your results into a doctor. My old dr. in houston told me to go to a quest and get my labs then come back with my results. It seems to be streamlining the process and costs a bit. also look for deals at these labs sometimes they run coupons or cheaper rates certain times a year.

MOST INSURANCE PROVIDERS WILL COVER A PHYSICAL WITH BLOOD WORK ONCE A YEAR. you might already be paying for that (with your payroll deductions for employer health insurance) and not even know it, it would be cheap to tack on the additional test(s) you want and pay for it(them) out of pocket or check if your "physical" would cover it(them), because it might.

I think you might learn to love the burn eventually. Honestly I love the burning, exhausted feeling after my workout where my legs are burning as I bicycle home because I crushed them during my workout. YMMV.

    progress check for me:

I finished my strong lifts 5x5 yesterday, did bicep/tricep accessories and then for shiggles jumped up to the neutral pull up grips on outrigger bar on the cable machine, and was hanging and thinking, "why not try to pull myself up?", and I did. I was able to pull myself up on the neutral grip bars (see picture with green arrows). WOOT! doesnt count as an unassisted pull up, because it wasnt on a straight bar with my palms facing away from me, but I freaking surprised myself, after my workout and everything!

    Pull Up Grips.jpg

I did some research and more research it seems that the neutral grip is a easier on the shoulders and slightly more bicep intensive. I think I have shoulder issues from playing rugby in college (playing lock def had an effect on my shoulders), and maybe I need to work towards a chin up (palms facing toward me) instead of a pull up (palms facing away from me) for a bit. Do negatives in chin up position or neutral grip position, instead of pull up position. Going to try to stickw ith chin up grip or neutral grip and keep working, seeing if I can deadhang longer from one of these grips as well.

I don’t do a lot of wide fly pull ups, I do a lot of other variations but I stick to lat pull downs for that wide grip overhand pull up.
It is very awkward on the shoulder joints for sure.

I do both. One day is chin up day. Another is pull up day. Great exercise, IMO. I do weighted and then body weight.

    Like, so many.
You guys ever watch the YT channel, More Plates More Dates? He does a lot of natty or not videos for actors which I find very interesting. He goes further than most guys and talks about what (if anything) they likely used. He's also very open about his own cycles. Anyway, if that sounds interesting to you check it out.

I’m pretty sure 7mm are the thickest you can go for PL, so if he ever wanted to do a real PL meet and do strongman these would work for both

I actually don't know if these 7mm ones are USPA approved but I know other 7mm Cerberus sleeves are.

I only say 9mm for strongman as it's more support on moving events. Other than that I'm happy rocking my old ass Rehbands for squats.

Sadly I got 0 support out of my rehbands. They were way too loose but also too small/short. They barely gave any coverage over the knee. Those are an extremely beginners sleeve IMO and about as effective as an ace pullover from Walmart.

I sent mine to @zacharypaul89 but he doesn’t hit depth anyway, so it doesn’t matter if he’s ill equipped or not

I don't use them for support, I use them for warmth. These seem to keep my knees the warmest and are comfy for normal squat days.

The 9mm ones I can only wear for a short amount of time. The thickness and tightness almost makes them feel like wearing wraps lol

The rehbands would slide down constantly so they were pretty useless for me. As soon as I decided to sign up for a meet I scrapped them for SSB and it was a huge difference. Unfortunately those didn’t hold up and ripped and now I’m on the Strong. Which I like a lot, but they are stretching out more than I’d like. Probably should’ve ordered another size down but I’m going to try and tighten them up in the wash and see if that helps...

I’m sure there are any that won’t stretch over time.

I’m about to order a pair just for comps and heavy training sessions. Think y’all can get a small on me?
