Flat skid if you get your exhaust reroute done. The transfer case skid for factory exhaust has a 2" downward bend, to accomodate for the hanging factory exhaust.

Front skid is bomb proof! I'm glad that skids and sliders were my first mod on this truck.

a skid plate not bending/budging just from jacking up the truck is not a foolproof sign that they are strong. you literally did the same thing with a 2x6, but you wouldn't put 2x6s under your truck for skid protection lol...

Plenty strong man! I used a 2x6 so I wouldn't put 4 dimples into the powdercoating of my front skid, from the saddle of my jack.

2x6 gives under pressure and dimples in my skid does not. So no i would not use a 2x6 as a skidplate. i have a bare finish and jack straight from the plate. Smaller surface area too with zero bends.

what I was saying is that slow pressure from a jack lifting the truck up is not a good "test" for the strength. it is in no way similar to slamming down or smashing on a rock.

I believe @gixxerphil drove over from B’ham to get it done in Oxford. I can attest to the great work they did. I think his cost more because his truck is a 4 door and the piping is layer out slightly different.

    Only the best.
I can attest to this. My skids are reinforced(which most companies dont do) and i hit a rock dead center that brought me to a dead stop and it let a nice size dimple in my skid. With out the reinforment rid being right there it would have been WAY worse.

I have no idea what you're talking about man, I lifted my truck up on a half rotten 4x4 once and it held up so I'll probably just line the underside of the truck in plywood or something. seems strong enough.

Not really those little reinforcements add some to rigidity. I've dropped hard onto mine many many many many times they are dented up bu
