Sometimes they just fall off

No but really, I believe its clipped in; I removed mine when I replaced my grill and I remember they just popped into place.

There should be a bolt under the grille, plus a clip under the outer edge of the filler

Might be worth taking the grille off to get a better eye on the clips from the back

    fak thanks guys.

I figured there was something else holding it in, so maybe like @JKO1998 said the bolt could be my issue. Tried pulling on it hard but it wouldn't budge a few weeks ago so I been ignoring it and pushing it back into place every couple hundred miles lmao. Guess Ill delve deeper when I get some time!

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
Anyone have a Harbor Frieght press? Question is 12 ton or 20 ton?

12 ton would fit in my garage better. But is the 20 ton a better option (is it really neccesary) for pressing 1st Gen Tacoma type stuff?

It's built stronger. For most applications 12 ton is fine though.

Actually, this is a different product from the asphalt product. It is a foam, self stick, and foil backing. I did use a small amount of the asphalt version on the very bottom of the door cavity, since that might get water. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Frost-King...VEZ-fCh2SvwaiEAQYASABEgJ2BvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

This is what it looks like installed, you use a small roller to really get it to stick.

I'm mainly concerned with width and fitting spindles to press bearings. I don't think there's anything on our trucks that actually requires the 20 tons of force... but the frame of the 20 ton is wider than the 12 ton.

do you think the WP i have on now is all grimey or wot?
i will check receipt, bot a bunch of parts, all the 4 belts some new rope hooks and screws, thermostat, diff breather and sum stripes, maybe something else i forget it was a week ago

the quote i had for indie shop was $136 for the WP part @ list and markup to list on all the belts
i am still unclear why they wish to charge 1 hour labor to clean the old water pump gaskets, etc off :notsure:

I've done a mod or two
I have a 12, it's weak sauce but if you bust out the welder and put a steeple bar across the top after you bend it all to fuck it holds up well... Also mine is bent from me blocking the bypass in the hydraulic jack and letting it send way past 12t haha.

Just a heads up even at 20t it doesn't have a great chance at doing our front wheel bearings, but in stock 12t form it'll do just about anything else.

Would anyone here have a problem with installing a filter with a dent in it like this?

Cant remember what size it is. Think it's 20 ton. But I've pressed 2 sets of wheel bearings on a buddy's Harbor Frieght press... he's pressed a couple sets too. Never had any sort of problem getting them to move with it.

I'll probably end up just getting the 20 ton.

I wouldn't...probably not an issue but for ~$6 or whatever they are, it's cheap peace of mind to pick up an undamaged one
