True. Never got enough rain either for it to be a flood problem, at least in my area. Last year some people had their whole yards underwater. 15 years going on that road and it was the first time they closed it to cars.
Snow=snow caves though

 

I hate it equally.


Rain sucks because, we have less sunshine than other regions.


And we have winter. In the winter time, everything around here is drab, gray, brown and blah. Psychologically, it wreaks havoc on many. MANY.


With winter, precipitation is usually snow, which is much prettier to look at and deal with. This year, it has been cloudy and rainy, pretty much every fucking day since October. Fucking hell. Somebody get me a beach.

It goes...... going back to work tonight for 3 night shifts.

 

I get it where flooding is real. @Tractorman is a guy who has every right to hate rain to an extent as it messed with his fields for quite awhile IIRC.

 

I must be a week behind you start my three days Friday

 

I have no problems with the rain, I have problems with the idiots who are controlling the dam release up stream on the Misery River.

 

Yeah I start my 4 day shifts next Monday.

 

I could never live in a place where it was dark and cloudy much of the time. In Az we get sunshine just about 300-330 days a year so we almost get giddy when we get rain. Snow is ok and pretty to look at and we love to

snowshoe but absolutely HATE shoveling or even worse, driving in it. As you can imagine, the people up here are not used to (or good at) driving in poor weather at all so it makes things very interesting on the roads.

Had a stint right after the holidays where it was cold, dark and cloudy with some snow and rain and we were all miserably depressed.

 

So that mess you dealt with was human caused? That really sucks!

 

Yes it was all caused by dam operation.
