So I last changed my oil at about 107K and was planning on changing it at 114K; I run full synthetic. Should I change it sooner? Oil is starting to look a bit dark after less than 3K miles.

Even though it’s Mobil 1? How soon? I just added a fresh quart yesterday.

Owner’s manual says every 5K miles or six months, whichever comes first, but that’s with semisynthetic; With the full synthetic, I’ve been doing it every 7,000-7,500 since about 84K. In theory, I could probably wait until 10K with the Mobile 1, but I’m too paranoid and OCD to to that especially now that my truck seems to be using oil.

I have this thing about changing the oil at even numbered intervals, so I’m guessing 112K should suffice? Or perhaps I should get it done after 3K just this once so I can go back to the every 5K system?

Front pads have been replaced and the rotors have been turned! My dad is about to drive me over there to pick up the truck!

I'm changing the oil 4K miles early this time around so I can get back on the standard "every 5K" interval, and then I'm going to check my oil religiously every month or thousand miles, whichever comes first.

There was nothing on the X-ray back in 2002, but my ankle still hurt like a bitch so they gave me the choice between crutches and an aircast. If my ankle was diagnosed as a sprain today but there was nothing on the X-ray, what do you think they do in terms of treatment/immobilization?

    0W-20 or 5W-20? I’m leaning towards 5W-20 if I can find it...

Also, it looks like they took my suggestion and moved Car Porn to the "General Automotive" section! However, it would also appear that message count does not go up at all in that section anymore :(

Don't understand why it doesn't increase message count anymore...

My guess would be that new members were using it to pad their counts so they could post in BST...?
