Grew up building Dune Buggies, and boats with my dad. As a kid had dirt bikes and go karts. Eventually got a truck, crashed it, built VW baja's, kept at it all my life. Today, I keep building up the Tacoma. Lots of fun. Check this out, 100+ MPH VW Baja right here.

Same here, always worked with my hands so I can wrench a bit. I know my limitations mechanically so I always have pros do the major stuff, like my suspension upgrades. For other cosmetic stuff like bumpers, winch, lights etc., I looked over posts here on TW and how to youtube video’s for the tools I’d need and tips specific to my truck which really saved time and do over’s

i consider myself utmost fortunate to have 'nearly' nothing wrong ever with my tacoma, its always been utter reliable for 23 years now :burnrubber:
i strive to take very nice care of it, it cost me a shit ton of coin and sweat
the DT place i had the wheels road-force balanced today gave me nice compliments on a clean truck and ask if i ever drive it, the service rep had to settle for an old Ford Ranger because no Tacoma's around here that they could find and that they really wanted used, they looked at a a newer gen but didn't really like it

my sister and her husband are big into Dodge's they have ALL kinds of problems all the time, thankfully he can work on most of the stuff except for the computerized crap
