The 3 feet of snow that was on the trail the week before we went up virtually disappeared. The snow level rose suddenly during the week and the area got pounded with rain. We had a great time as usual. I was happy with my dick Cepek Xtreme Country Mt until I discovered all the cuts in-between the tread blocks. These tires just aren't gonna last which is too bad because they performed very well in all conditions. I'll see if I can blow one up here in the next couple weeks and get them warrantied. Also my methods are bent AF. Gonna warranty those and try the trail series.

Anyways pics and video this time. Truck performed great felt awesome to get into some technical stuff again.

Also my truck is booked in to get the oil issue dealt with next Tuesday. I'm hoping to see it back by the end of the week. I'm a little nervous having the engine shop pay, I must say. The benefit is if he screws me my wife works at the best law firm in town and this issue is well documented. Hopefully it doesn't go that way. Seems my little o2 trick hasn't worked i think the sim is sending too much voltage cause I haven't plugged in a o2 to the bypass, it's now tripping an ecu code. So time to deal with this. I ordered a new 02 I'll replace the upstream one and use the old OEM o2 for the sim and hopefully that solves the issue. Also as a result of all my rock bouncing escapades my right front air bag sensor is throwing a code as well. It's the harness though it's gotten a little mangled over the years I'm gonna have to rebuild it or find a wrecked taco and snip the pig tail

Well two months later, after finding the oil leak, the engine is coming back out. The timing cover is leaking just like I said it was from the beginning. Also it seems like about a half dozen random bolts have rattled themselves loose or have gone missing completely, they're not essential but still. The engine builder is having it all done so for now I'm rolling in the wife's Corolla. It's also seems my oil pressure gauge line has a small leak in it as well. Oh the joys

WOOOOOO .... Truck came back today, all fresh and clean!!! Well sorta.... I can see where the machine shop just bloobed the ever loving shit out of the timing cover with rtv. The Toyota shop did a great job everything is all back together perfectly, they also degreased my whole front end which is awesome.

Shoutout to Ryan at Disturbed Industries for another fantastic job and to Fraser Valley Engine and Machine Shop for taking care of this. Even though I was getting impatient.

Needless to say there were no work trucks going out. I was one of the few who made it into work

In other news we got approval from the city to build a shop on the property, so we are going for 900sq ft with a suite on-top. Met with our contractor and gave him the specs, the wife has full control over the suite I just said I need to fit a hoist inside and I want it sound deadened, with a dedicated welding plug and the air compressor in its own hutch.

The artic circle trip is in full go mode. We have a route and time off booked. We're heading out last week of July. So now I have to totally rework the truck storage because the dogs will take up all the cab space. If funds allow I'll do the Flatdeck now vs later. Might also upgrade to a dometic dual zone fridge freezer the big unit one side for dog food(they're on the raw diet) one side for people food. If not I'm just gonna get the cover for the ol' arb and mount it in the bed for now..finally on the repair front. Been a few thousand km and no leaks on the timing cover. The shop also fixed a few minor oops for me so that was nice. The exhaust is also scheduled to be finally changed and repaired I have to get them to add an o2 bung, I mistakenly thought the urd sim replaced the o2 it does not it just alters the reading to stock

If by decked you mean flat deck then yes lol... Nifty setup you got going on there, it just won't work for my application, there wouldn't be sufficient space between the RTT and the deck height, to fit my fridge, dry food, luggage etc. I'm going more this direction
    images%2013_53f41b945e07378128e89c6ee1a7e9575138d3e0.jpg
And it'll hurt less when I bounce a deck off of tree

What part of the arctic circle? You coming over into the America part to really enjoy some freedom?
If so, lemme know. Alaska has all the fireworks and guns you could ever want to play with aaaaaaand the road up to the arctic circle is fabulous for rallying... if you don't get run over by a semi doing 100 mph first. Just sayin.

Right now due to travel restrictions we are planning alternative trips staying within British Columbia. We are hoping that we will be allowed to assemble in small groups by the end of July when our trip is planned for. We believe most of the attractions and small villages will be closed so we are postponing that trip. We were not planning on leaving Canada as filling out all the paperwork for firearms etc was more trouble than it's worth.

Very used to tractor trailers rolling down forest roads at speed run into many a logging train out there which is why we always roll with vhf

I'm just screwing with you, anything past a certain latitude is just thousands of miles of tundra so it doesn't matter what side of the invisible line you're on. Happy pandemic from the other side of the line!
*Glad the taco is happy and rolling again.

Sooo rolled the truck out of the garage on got to work. Got the rear O2 bung drilled and welded in, No more engine light woot woot... The flowmaster muffler is so much better than the magnaflow. I can actually hear things again in my cab. Bad part is the axle dump pipe doesn't work with this muffler so I gotta get to an exhaust shop next week and get a couple hangars done up. Pretty happy right now. I also ordered some FIA seat covers and scored a small utility trailer for free. Unfortunately with the borders still closed I can't get the tow package wire harness shipped here, local dealership can't get it right now anyways and they want 600$ for it lol..

Why can't exhaust shops weld??? Got another axle dump welded on and some hangers. I don't even wanna take pics of the booger welds. :frusty:... I can't wait till my shop is built and I can just do this stuff myself. On the plus side I can hear again when driving.

Back to business!!! Took the Huskies and their wife out for what I thought was going to be a day trip to good ol' west Harrison. Unfortunately we ran into the month maintenance run from the local 4wd association something like 70 trucks were at the air down. So naturally I dropped a gear and bombed the forest road. I haven't been in this area for a couple years and man it's changed. Since this is a working forest logging companies have logged areas near the trails unfortunately since all the trails are technically logging roads they're allowed to alter them. This means almost all the obstacles are gone. It was still fun though. Tried to avoid the crowds but only ended up staying for lunch and let the dogs run around

The delta 50 muffler is so much nicer. It's changed the tone from nasty rasp to a deep below. Much nicer on the ears and hopefully keeps the local pd from being interested as traffic cops here have a hard on for anything modified

Took a bunch of work to find a supplier in the time of covid. A little overland store actually had the best price and stock, fridge should be here by the end of the week. The big boy as it will henceforth be known as, will sit in the bed of the truck as the Huskies now take the back platform inside. The mounting system seems to exclusively use the arb tie downs. Which sucks because I won't have a slide for a while, but I'll make something work. Crappy they don't make a 96L slide

Building a slide shouldn't be too bad. For me It'll be a challenge because I suck at stuff like that. And holy crap the price for their slide is outrageous

Ya I found some slide arms already weigh cap upto 150lbs. I only need like 12" extension. So they're only like 100$ add some plywood and boom quick and dirty slide for like 150$ lol
