how’s about a run first going west bound Slick Rock then drive threw and head into deer valley. Camp out there, run deer valley and 88 back home one weekend before any rubicon is attempted.

if anyone’s down to do that we’ll see when the trails open and hit that hopefully in April.

and then for those who want to continue to the Con I can take a couple of you guys out. I’ve been on the Con numerous times and there are sections that still crap my pants. Especially the off camber down hill ditch going towards the slab. I mean it just feels like your going to tip over every time.

That actually sounds fun! There is a spot on Deer valley trail couple of miles in to it that over looks the mountains. It is beautiful spot to camp. I will be down for this trip depending when it happens.

That crossed my mind too. If so, not much snow up there.

It hasn't been raining much this year, so we might be able to camp at lake Alpine too.

I was just thinking about the lack of rain/snow we have had so far this winter. Hope we get a bit more before winter is officially over.

That's why you take the "old sluice" or "big sluice" or "true big sluice" or whatever it's called!

    I never liked the slabs...

I've also haven't done the old sluice in a few years and I hear it's gnarly.

We're at 43% of average statewide.

Forecast look dry for the next few weeks too.

I am curious if this is the same deer valley trail I know... We typically stop in Clover Valley. Is this the same trail? @K_Sandhu

Not sure about where clover valley is. Deer valley trail is close by lake Alpine and slick rock area.

    Also In!
I've never done Deer Valley Trail. I've done slick rock a few times. I think the Rubicon might be over my head. If time allows I could some along to help consume beer and heckle drivers.
This will be my 1st summer since 2017 with no hospital stays (fingers crossed). I really want to get out again. It's going to be a blast!
