I’m thinking about getting the 4” spindle lift kit from max trac and running it with stock tires and wheels for now. Until I can get new wheels and tires.

How much will the spindles push out my stock wheels? Will I need spacers?

also, will the tires stay within the fenders?

    thank you!

You'll see an increase in .75" front track width

If you don't get spacers in the rear, your front tires will be out wider than your rear tires.

You might need to add spacers to the front as well..might..
Remember if you go forward with that, do not reinstall the dust pans if you’re sticking with stock wheels bc it will scratch up the back of your wheels...Speaking from experience lol

the rear you will need about a 1” spacer to make flush with the front. I have 1.25” in the rear and I think it makes them stick out a tad bit further than the front but you can’t tell unless really looking at it. So I’d say a .75” or 1” spacer out back.

Ok, got it. Did you have any problems with alignment? Were you able to get alignment with your stock control arms?

no problems with alignment. Stock UCA’s are good enough for this kit but if you want better angles you can upgrade to aftermarket ones. I haven’t yet but do plan to soon.

What @Leo4x2 said. For what it's worth, I used my stock 17" TSS rims and am running 285/75 with no issues. And I used the exact spacer set up he recommended. No issues, no rubbing...

Thank you! That is exactly what I'm tryna do. I'm just gonna run my stock wheels and tires for now and then get aftermarket wheels and tires later.

Did you run spacers in the front for the stocks to clear the spindle? and what measurement spacers in the rear?

Yes I ran .75” in the front and 1.25” in the rear. Technically, that’s .25” more in the front than in the back but you can’t tell it. Chose the 1.25” for the back because the stock studs aren’t long enough for 1.5”. Get the BORA’s, solid and well built.DADD3261-EA79-4EBB-A00F-7E1B4D2F7918.jpgCEEE4F73-0A66-44C8-85C3-C40309DFCF44.jpg

    Just to clarify. The

    Nice truck bro!!

Ok, so tell me if i'm correct, Maxtrac spindles will kick out the tire by 0.75 inches. Then I will need a spacer to clear the front. I'll most likely get 1 inch spacer in the front, this would mean that the tire would be out 1.75 inches. And I'll get a 1.25 inch spacer for the rear. The front would then be 0.75 inches wider than the rear. Does that all sound correct?

Also, is it bad to have the front or rear wider than the other?

And is there a minimum size spacer I need for the stock wheels to clear the spindle in the front? Or is 1 inch fine in the front?

Personally, I would just do what I have listed above, then you will be just about square. Close enough that you can't see it. IMO

Damn, nice truck! So your lifted total in the front 4 inches and in the rear 2.5 inches?

Also, did you rub or did you have to do any trimming?

Most Tacoma’s come stock ..with Rake. Meaning the rear is higher than the front. I’m lifted 4 in the front and 2 in the rear. Nearly leveled. My front sits higher, by a smidge.

    Thanks!

Did you have to do any trimming to run the tires?

I'm getting the same but then 4 inches in the front and a 3 inch block in the back.
