Finally got a few photos to throw up on here. Nothing crazy just wheeling around Colorado. Also installed so pillar brackets and BD XL-80s with a Switch-Pros 9100 to operate everything. Wired the BDs to trigger on with the high beams. Works great! 64E2F5BC-0B0E-4C66-946D-1493545367C8.jpg

Not to hijack your thread, but I've got a similar set up (extended kings front and rear, Dakars, SPC UCAs) and I also get a harsh thud on quick down travel. After reading up on the King suspension thread, I kept seeing recommendations to keep the front shocks at 21" or less from the middle of the lower shock bolt to the top hat. I am right at 21" and it's still too harsh for me on the down travel. You might try taking out some of the preload and see if that helps you.

I’ll have to get under there and measure it tomorrow. I’ll be interested to see because I have no idea what they’re at now. That pop is killing me though. I’ll try backing off the preload. Also @calebc said he runs a spacer to make up the difference so I think I may try that as well. I’m not sure how much height I can afford to loose before I start to get some rubbing again.

Yep, been pretty happy with the spacer. I think I’ll be going to the 1/2” spacer but the 1/4” has made a pretty big difference in the thud and bringing the ride back to what it was before I leveled it out.

I know I’ve said this before, but yours is easily my favorite build I’ve seen on here. Quality over quantity, not too flashy, and extremely useful.

Were you able to use the top mounting bolts that came with your Kings with the 1/4" spacers? Or were extended length bolts required?

Nice. No matter what anyone says, vehicle choice can be and is often an indicator, and raptor people are gross. Welcome.

You could probably get away with the included bolts but I did replace mine. I have a decent supply of grade 8 bolts that I bought years ago so I figured why not. I don’t remember the size I went with, they were probably 1/4” longer than I would have liked but they don’t extend through the top hat and they didn’t bottom out so I was good. I’ll use the same ones for 1/2” spacers. When I get home I’ll get the size I used.

Thanks! It’s been a blast so far. So much easier to get out in the woods, the thing is just mega capable.

Thanks for the info. I’m gonna have to pick some bolts up once I get some spacers here. My bolt drawer is pretty picked over from the last couple years.

Those new grilles on ORs and Sports are so much better than the ones that came with the 2016s and 2017s.

OP, how do you like the Ridge Grapplers vs. the Toyo RT’s on your Raptor? I know it’s two different trucks, but what are your thoughts? Was there a reason you switched to the Nitto’s? I’ll be switching from Cooper ST Maxx’s soon and am trying to decide between these two.

So I used a 1.5" bolt, the included bolt with the Kings is a 1". Like I said, you could probably get away with not replacing them, but the bolts are so readily available I can't see why anyone wouldn't.

Yeah I agree. I had planned to change to a pro grille but the stock one has actually grown on me a lot. I think I’m gonna keep it for a while.

I switched just out of curiosity really but, that said, I do have some thoughts. Firstly I think the Ridge Grapplers do better in the snow than the RTs did. They really seem to clean out well and just keep digging. I had them in about a foot of powder last weekend on the forest roads and they preformed wonderfully. The RTs were louder on the road but they had better road manners IMO. The Ridge Grapplers seem to be a little shifty on the highway. The RTs did wear great though. I put like 15,000 miles on them and they still looked new. Time will tell with the Ridge Graps but it’s looking good so far. Currently have about 7,500 miles on them. Can hardly tell.
