Don't get the finish extended warranty. The only warranties I and a few others have used is the parts warranty and road hazard. Just an fyi, both tires are nearly $1k from a dealership and electrical components start around $300-ish. Services vary between $300-600 depending on bike and frame.

The dealer rarely quotes with labor included on services over the phone. They do that to get you in the shop, too.

 

So maybe just the “vip” maintenance package then? I think it includes 6 services. Idk how much or the specifics. I’ll obviously get those before agreeing to anything.

6 services should cover your basic 1k, 5k, 10k, 15k, 20k and 25k, so basically if you rode almost daily about 5-6 years. I put the first 10k miles daily riding mine the first two years, thanks to Korea rotations. I have my 1k, 5k and 10k in the factory system. I do 5k services every 2.5k and TCLOKS(?) Every time I ride.

I'm not gonna lie. I'm a little intimidated about buying a house.

My minimum is a two-car garage and about 2kft.^2

After the kiddo goes off to do adult things, I need shooting space, but most likely property "ownership" will be outside of the average person's finances by that time.

 

Its not bad if you stay in it for 5 or more years...if you try to move in a year you may get lucky and make a little, but usually dont

 

Finance the shop on the mortgage up front it will add very little to the monthly payment

Okay. I'll have you pick your brain on that. I'm planning on moving in mid-summer, so I have some time. I get the benefit of the VA loan and property tax is 0% for me.

 

I don't, I live in the middle of the desert so it's a rarity. Now I have to figure out how to deal with idiots that can barely drive in rain let alone snow.

Edit : it was 70 here yesterday. Talk about crazy weather

 

I miss it, but I spent most of my life in something similar to the Rockies at 8k feet.

I totally agree with you about people not being able to drive with any precipitation. South, north east and west they all suck. 90% of people can't drive in inclement weather.
