Apparently Arubans don't either. 4 miles of trails on the whole island.

Honestly, if it's anything like when I was looking in the caymans, its endless mangrove jungle hell the minute you hit the wood line. Just making any sort of trail is almost impossible. Plus all the Caribbean islands have like 8 feet of elevation gain across the entire island. I have heard there's a small MTB scene in Jamaica though.

Well Yes, it definitely is not a SUPER common thing to do in Aruba, and lets face it, its vacation! I dont need/want to ride 10+ miles, but it would be nice to get out there and do something different than in the past times ive visited. That trail is in fact like the ONLY trail and i have watched some locals videos, but was just looking for someone from the States' input if they've ridden it before....Aruba, the whole Island can be traveled by Bike as Its very small. The part where the MTB trail is is all desert-like terrain and very rocky, so definitely not like the Caymans but that sounds rough.

The heat maps available on TF makes it look like road biking is pretty popular though.

Said f-it and ordered the Box Groupset for the Chameleon. Hard to pass up a decent 11spd groupset for $140.

Even getting stuff at cost is more expensive.

I’m going back and forth. Seems like a great deal, just don’t ‘need’ it at the moment.

I still have that rainy day HT build floating in my head though. This kit would be a good score if that ever develops.

I just ordered the medium Rakattach from 1up because i got tired of having to swing down the rack to get to my riding or fishing gear when the rack has bikes on it. If anyone here have had a Rakattach on their 3rd Gen, do you have any tips or tricks? I'm wondering if you added any additional anti-wobble or locks to secure the Rakattach to the hitch. Thanks!

Yeah, I didnt need it either. But my Chameleon is a spare parts bin build with older 10spd, you really cant beat the price. The shifter has same pull as shimano as well.

When/if I get around to putting anything together, it'll a mixed bag a used parts as well. I actually run an SLX shifter on my primary right now (another rando parts bin build), and from what I've read the 'feel' of the Box is similar to the SLX.

Branching out from Evil it seems? I'd imagine the SB will be a more appropriate tool for when you're in GA.

    Mmmm... new-to-me bike day.

Started off as a frame only purchase and I built it up over the last month with Ultegra 11 speed Di2, Some svelte Ritchey bits to tie it all together, and tubeless Continental GP5000 tires.
