so i have the fogs installed about a year ago, i did them myself. i used the included wiring harness, and everything was fine for the first 8 months. recently, the right side started to flicker about a minute into it being turned on. then it shuts off, so i only have the left side working. it would do this for a while. then last month, it decided to flicker on the right side, and then came back on! it worked for a couple days, then , back to not working. does this sound like a bad connection to anyone else? im about to tear into the right side and check the harness...

I have the BD's now. Before I had Nokya bulbs and went through what sounds to be the same thing. I ended up just cleaning up the pins inside and using a little dielectric grease. Fixed it until complete failure years later. I've noticed some corrosion show up on the pin contacts on a few of my vehicles.

Like you mentioned, check the connection as it may have come loose or something of that nature. Worst case scenario, you might be able to go through warranty for it.

Ok so after getting to the connector, I found one of the spike looking thing a ma jig wasn’t pushed in straight, cool fixed that. Turns on! Sweet! Button everything back up, fire up the truck and, no light on the right side again. Wtf. Tore back open the fender to get to connector. Push the connectors together to be sure it’s seated, and it turns on!!! Push the fender wall back in to place, turn the truck on, and same old problem. Now wtf.

The plugs that came with the lights are what I used. So the adapter and the plug it comes with. One side is a 2 prong aluminum spike looking thing and the opposite is 2 tunnels that accept the prongs. I think the issue is I couldn’t push them in straight. I’m not exactly sure but that is what seems to be happening. The quick fix I came up with till I can get replacement aluminum prongs to replace the bent one on one side that doesn’t want to seat properly. I used electric tape and taped it to the inside of the bumper in a way that pulls the cables so that it makes the connection. I drove home with it like that last night and it worked lol. Same thing this am on the way to work, it turned on and stayed on.
