2018 Trd sport 4x4 sliding gear

    Hello I'm new here, anybody has a problem with transmission downshift from 2 gear to 1,( sliding gear). I a summing, it is being making a metal sound when is going from 2 gear to 1. And it does only when first time driving in the morning going to work a soon as making the first stop, after that nothing. And late when I come back from work same at first stop. I let it warmup 5 minutes and still doing the same thing, Any idea or advice. Thanks

    Manual trans? It doesn’t like to go into 1st unless you are nearly completely stopped

    fresh trans fluid does make it easier.

    Automatic transmission. Still under dealer warranty but is the second time that I tell them and they don't do nothing. Thanks for the advice

    Mine has done that since day 1, but only occurs in the winter and while coming to first complete stop. There are a few threads out here about it.

    I did, was told first could not replicate then normal. Yes, it still does it.

    Were you driving? Once you've been driving and everything gets up to operating temperature, the problem usually goes away and it shifts smoothly

    It has to do it 1 time after driving the first 40 mph and to make the first stop, The problem show up. After that, I can drive for 1 hours without no let the engine cool and works fine.
