I want to lift truck and be able to tow a 20ft boat. There is a ton of information on here but its a little overwhelming. So Im just going to ask. From what Im gathering a mid-lift for a Tacoma is 2"? I also want to add firestone air bags for towing. There are a ton of options but I have no clue on what's good for this set up or if this a good to do. Can anyone give me some feedback on if this is a good set up for a lift and towing or point me in the right direction. Also recommendations would appreciated. I also later on want to add front bumper with a winch in the future, but lets start here first.

I’ve got 5100s in the front and 885 coils. In the back I’ve got firestone air bags, daystar cradles, and soon to be a set of 5160 shocks. It sits pretty level with about 20 psi in the bags (I have a canopy and usually 100-200 pounds of tools in the back). It rides really good on the highway and looks decent too. I wouldn’t mind it being a little taller but then mpgs already suck. I’ve also got a us off-road front winch plate and winch so my nose will sit a little lower then yours.

I did the front first to see how much it would lift it after I added the winch bumper and everything settled. I’m still not all the way done with the rear, waiting for the tax return to come back and I’ll do the new shocks back there. I might ad a 1” block in the rear also to keep away from the Carolina lean. A progressive add a leaf might be better for you if you want a little taller lift in the back.

Did you have to trim any and what size tires are you running

with a stock front would the 884’s be a better coil for this look ?

3" lift on 33 inch Nitto's with 18" Fuel wheels. N-Fab step bars. Husky floor liners.
I pull this boat sometimes three to four times a week with no problem. 3" lift with spacers in the front and AAL in the back. Yea it makes it lean a little but still drives and handles great.

I had to take off my front wind deflector dealio that’s in front of each tire and I took off my front mudflaps. I’m running 265/70/r17 falken wildpeaks and the 4runner pro wheels.

if probably still do the 885s even with a front end. I drove it around for a few days without the winch and it felt good still.

what is the lift in the front and back? I read that the 885 were better for the double cabs for a full 3 inch lift. Im not trying to go 3 inches. Im also very new to truck mods

OME recently redid their spring lengths and stuff so people are getting less lift out of them then they used to. I got about 2” before the winch in the front and in the back I got about 1” with the daystars and airbags. Now in the front I’m sitting around 1.5” lift or so. Marie at headstrong will tell you exactly what you need for your truck. It can get really confusing really fast if it’s your first time lifting a Tacoma.

    I would recommend a call to Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road

You have defined your goals pretty well, other than budget. So be thinking about that.
