I get it totally. Would feel the same way if I had to clean and maintain that many. Pools also seem to bring out the sloppy drunk in people and that's something I am always worried about. At our other house we had an above ground hot tub that we really enjoyed but as far as maintenance goes it was much more work. This was mostly because it was hot 24/7 and none of my daughters would keep their dirty BF's out of the tub when we weren't home.
I agree that a pool is hit or miss with resale. Some people are going to jump on making an offer because there's a pool while others will shy away for the same reason. Can't say I'd ever have a pool on a "Must Have" list when looking for another house but depending on location and the condition/age of the pool and equipment I wouldn't run away.

 

A friend made this sign for the outside walkway to the pool.
Just a friendly reminder that we are all adults and need to leave the pool under our own power. Signs like these are posted in several locations along the trails in the Grand Canyon and we joked from the time we bought the house that we needed something similar.

 

I like this!

 

It sucks but it also doesn't last too long. Usually have a week or two with temps like this in the winter and then it get more mild. Same in the summer. We can have a week maybe with daytime temps above 100 but usually low to mid 90's and little to no humidity.

I am all about having people over, having a great time and relaxing with some beers or cocktails.

I also want to NOT have to clean large messes (debris OR people) out of my pool or yard because they couldn't handle themselves appropriately.

As long as people can be responsible for themselves and not be an asshole, bring as much alcohol or as you’d like. I consume both in large quantities.
All of us (wife and kids) have potty mouths so cussing is cool too. Just be mindful if there are little kids present.
Most important rule! My wife and I are the ONLY people allowed to have sex in the pool or jacuzzi.
Most all horseplay is discouraged.
Biggest concern is the proximity of the deck to the pool down below and that someone will attempt to take the expressway down to the pool.

 

I understand your pain. Every Sunday/Monday for weeks have been the only bad days

 

I can top that. Off Saturday thru Wed. Booyakah!!

 

Last day of work for me is 2/10. Don't work again until 2/24
