That's a horrible idea. What time?
A little help. Just after joining the thread, I saw a post about a locking replacement storage box for the drivers side of the bed area. It was deeper and sealed. Anyone remember /have this? Can you provide a link? Thanks. :spending:

I like your no holds bar approach to wiring and aux relay box mounts. I think it is perfectly acceptable to use good water tight DIY parts and ziptie em all together. I do it too. One weekend last fall I went for it and tidied it up but now I’m itching for a new project and the hood light is a good one.

That is an awesome before and after pic!!!!!! And, I like that bracket you have for your box mount! After years of messing with a jeep, Toyota pickup, 4runner, fjcruiser, and now back to a Tacoma...I've gotten little bold with my electrical now. I already bought a roof rack (haven't installed yet), but I'm already thinking I need to get the UpTop roof rack and full height bed rack instead and prep for wiring all the cool stuff UpTop!! hahahaha

Haven't done much, but things are on in boxes somewhere in the world. It will be a great late winter install weekend.

Custom bed rack from RCR4wd (just have to wait for it to get to Seattle from Venezuela!)

Installed the joying unit. Absolutely love it zero connectivity issues, great sound quality, easy install. Just have to figure out steering wheel controls and I’m set.

Do you have to use a Maestro or equivalent to get get the steering wheel controls to work with the Joying unit ?

i bought the canbus version and everything was plug and play. I used all the existing connections so my assumption is that I don’t need another harness. I have to do a little more reading into it. I put this in at night without light so I just wanted to get the bulk done and fine then later

Is it smooth? I'm looking into head units and don't want to spend a bunch of money on a laggy unit.

Last weekend finished the install of a Hellwig rear anti-sway bar. Took about three hours to figure it out/ install as the installation guide is not super clear. But the results are great. I now have little to no sway on corners. I’d highly recommend doing this if you’re carrying a bunch of weight. Cost was about $500 for both front and rear. Almost thinking that I don’t need the Hellwig front bar. But will mount it this coming weekend. Before there was a bit of side-to-side motion and now it’s eerily flat around corners.

Nice! How did you get the weather temp off the top bar. Mine shows Celsius, I would rather just remove it.
